Rarity is under pinkie for me because Pinkie is great. but i can only handle pinkie in small doses
Rarity is as low as she is on my favourite pony list because i sew and make cosplay costumes, which is one of the things keeping her up where she is instead of being down near the bottom with Princess Celestia.

I dislike retarded gay fan-pairing things. Hate them. Just wrecks the quality of the whole show, for me.
Anyway, I'm so a fan. XD Favourite character is uhm... I don't know. RD is too full of herself, FS's personality is all over the place, TS is too logical, R's generosity dwindles and is strong and is all over the place, AJ is... I don't know, she's just not my favourite, and PP is too much like me. o3o

But this is a pretty female character dominated fandom.
MareXMare pairings are highly likely.
Live with it.
Applejack is okay i guess, But don't hate her, apart from the discorded Liarjack, she's pretty honest most of the time.
in ep 4, she's more full of her own pride than anything else
in other eps where she lies like Party of one (ep 25)
she lies to protect the party so pinkie will have a fun time later... she's sort of stuck
And i don't understand what you mean by 'Shy's personality is all over the place.

It's mine as well
But with so many of my favourite shows going darker, Dr who, Merlin (it's rumored that Merlin is going that way as well), Castle....the list goes on.
MLP:FiM is brightly coloured relief from that, which is partially why i think i like it.
Also the art style is amazing, the music and the songs are awesome.
The show is beautifully animated.
and the fanbase i've found has been the most welcoming i've been in since the browncoats.

Just because they're more likely to occur doesn't mean people have to enjoy the pairings, especially since that's an annoyingly common thing in most shows/series nowadays: any two characters who even know each other, even if they are obviously just friends, get paired romantically together. For some people that just takes away from the series as a whole.
But some people enjoy it. To each their own. |

I would love to see what the french dubbed version of that bit sounds like.
Did you know that the dead language in futurama is french, but in the french version the dead language is German.
