((don't know why my post doubled... 0.o)) um... use a bug type's weakness. the guy at the entrance always tells you what the gym leader's type weakness is. i always use my strongest pokemon to battle gym leaders, unless they have a type advantage. Normal User Posts: 733	Burgh is like the most annoying leader ever. I hate his leavanny thing. Fire does work well against him, but personally I find flying types to be a more satisfactory choice as they tend to last you longer throughout the game in terms of usefulness, and they usually are a tad more powerful, not to mention speedy, or at least that's what I've found throughout my many playthrough's. XD

Normal User Posts: 733	It's almost funny. The dragon type gym, which is the last one, is actually harder I've found, to get through all the trainers than to actually beat the leader. Of course there's a big battle at the end between you and N, then right after that, Ghetsis, and that's always fun, as it poses a bit of a challenge. The first time I ever went through my White version, when I first entered Victory Road I found a shiny durant. I named her Amethyst <3 Ipets, what pokemon do you have on your team, out of curiosity?

Normal User Posts: 733	I have three shinies, all legit, not counting the gyarados from Gold. Then I have two red gyarados from my Gold version which I've played through twice. My first was a budew, and the next was a graveler. Funny thing is, my roserade is the only male out of all of them. xD

Normal User Posts: 733	Yeah, I'm trying for a shiny vulpix. Unfortunately I can't use the masuda method though. I've hatched close to 130 eggs I think, and I'm hoping I might get lucky after around 2,000. Oh, it's going to take so long ;-; Then I get to go for a shiny rufflet XD I'm obsessed with shinies, I've been like that ever since my brother got his first pokemon game, and I heard about different colored pokemon, and that was years ago, lol. So far I'm the only one between my brother and I that has any shinies, because he traded his shiny machop for a couple of lv. 100 mew for the two of us. They were copies from his friend's Emerald game, if you're wondering, and the original one was legit.
