It's mysterious, but that means it's theory time! :D

So I'm guessing this place is around where Alex lived as a kid, and that he had some issues with that forest. Probably met Slenderman there, because now I think we might be able to guess that Slenderman isn't coming after Alex because he started filming in Slendy's home, but that Slendy was coming back for him (though the fact that he was filming in a forest may have been Slendy just seizing the opportunity.) The story that he tells about the child and the honor killings was probably one that terrified him as a kid especially since he might have already been in fear of Slendy, so the story stuck with him.

As for the "I did not post enttry 37" it could possibly be Jay posting it, he just didn't remember. This idea relies on my Jay might be a masky idea. Or at least he's being controlled.
