I think Alex, to some degree, didn't fully realize what he was doing when he was filming. He DID move away, get rid of the tapes, and try to start a new liife (until Jay started intruding and just opened that can of worms again. Way to break it, hero) and mention that he didn't remember stuff and people were gone and everything.
He may even think he's helping Jay now, but it's pretty obvious that he's dangerous- not because he's necessarily killing people on purpose, but because he's obviously easily swayed by the Operator. |

Actually it seems a lot like Alex's girlfriend was the one that reopened the can of worms. At least for Alex. o: While Jay was digging himself a hole with his curiosity, Alex was perfectly fine in his new home.. until she found the camera.
It does make sense that he wasn't aware of what he was doing during filming though. He honestly seemed baffled about his friends' disappearances. Heck, maybe you're right and he doesn't even realise what he's doing now. Sometimes he doesn't even seem to notice Slendy. It's like he's in a trance. He just does these things without thinking and then forgets about all of it.

That's another thing in the Slenderman mythos- he can hypnotize his prey. Seeing as Jay doesn't even remember huge chunks of time, I wouldn't be surprised if he's also under Slendy's control without being aware of it. At this point I'm willing to believe that Tim, the other Masky (my money is on it being Sarah) and even totheark are actually the good guys.
Honestly, I don't think Alex's camera itself had anything to do with Slenderman showing up again in his house. Drawing again from the mythos, Slenderman doesn't like people knowing his "face" and surviving...and Alex's girlfriend said "the tape was messed up or something, I dunno" suggesting that she had watched it and seen Slendy. And since Slendy dun like that, it makes sense that he would therefore be attracted to people who HAVE seen him and BAM! he's in the kitchen (I'm glancing over my shoulder as I type this).
So basically we're all screwed. He just hasn't shown up yet because there're so many viewers he's backlogged.
On a different note, I love the fact that Marble Hornets is appropriately Genre Savvy. While Jay himself is Genre Blind ("Hey, scary house, let's go into it at night TWICE") that may be purposeful to lend credibility to Jay being an Unreliable Narrator. But his slip-ups don't go ignored, like Alex pointing out how easy he is to find.
And, of course, our favorite line- "Hey Jay, you forgot your flashlight."

Aaand end of season two. I think. If the driving shots, large amounts of talk Jay puts in toward the end of the video, and having a ton of questions answered at once are anything to go by. xD
Suddenly the whole Tim being a good guy theory seems a lot more plausible. Yet, I still don't entirely want to believe it. o: In my head I'm just. Trying to find reasons why he might have helped them. Perhaps Alex acted out of turn, and killing Jay is something Slendy doesn't want to happen?
Bah, I don't even know. He's so contradictory. In season one he was so obviously working for Slendy - luring Jay through a door rigged to take him to the old house where Seth got attacked isn't exactly something a good guy would do. Yet now he's gone and saved the day.
Only real explanation I can think of is that there's something more that our Slender friend wants. He doesn't just want to kill, at least not when it comes to all these main characters. He's after something. Heck, why else would he have shown up in the hotel so brazenly.. just to erase the last seven months? He could have easily killed them both right then - even if it's not his style to get his own tentacles dirty.
By erasing those memories I kinda get the vibe that he wanted to manipulate Jay into feeling differently about the situation. The poor guy was terrified before, and the only goal was to get the heck out of town. Now after having to re-experience everything secondhand through a bunch of tapes, he wants to stick around. A poor choice in terms of his own safety, but apparently a positive one for whatever goal Slendy has.

Oh lawd I LOVE TIM. Maybe it's the sideburns. Maybe it's the sexy wink he snuck at the camera back during the Entry where Alex got mad at his film actors...
But seeing him save the day made MY day.
As for Tim- remember Entry 51, where Brian found Tim coughing in one of the rooms? I think Alex tried to also get rid of him but failed, and Tim's getting revenge. It would also go with the theory that Tim's actions thus far have been to try and scare Jay away from investigating further and getting hurt. I'm not sure about the whole episode with him luring Jay into the door to the factory place- perhaps Tim didn't know that would happen.
As for Slenderman...he likes to play with his food. >xP And Alex is a good caterer.

Tim may have wanted to show Jay something back in season 1. There's a theory that Masky left his mask there for Jay as a sort of protection. I feel like Tim has his own agenda to do away with Alex and he's trying to "recruit" Jay.

Yeah...maybe revenge for Alex trying to do away with him? xP But it looks like the third (and final, according to the creators) is going to focus on Tim's involvement in this.

There's a theory that the reason Tim didn't hit Alex with the cement is because the cement remembered Alex from before (breaking Tim's leg) and was still loyal to Alex, therefore refusing to be used against him.
It's my favorite theory. |

Now SlenderMan and totheark need to become friends. :D Except that totheark hasn't been on in a few months, so that probably won't work unless he suddenly gets Internets or visits Paige to steal her Internets again.. but oh well.

So like. I find myself getting creeped out by everything right now.
'Cause this morning as I was leaving the driveway, I just glanced over for before turning. The usual look before I go, just to make sure no one's coming. Even though we live on a dirt road and no one is ever coming.
Except this time I swear, I saw a tree a couple hundred feet away. That looked like a man.
Shoulders. Arms hangin' down. Just standing there. Or like. Looking like a dude standing there.
Looking like a Slender dude standing there.
And since I wasn't able to get a second glance in because I'd already started driving, I just have the worst image of it stuck in my head.
So yah ever since I got home I've been like aldkfjaa paranoid omg.
Even though I know it was just a regular tree.
That happened to look like it had shoul-
