Apparently a lot of people have little experience with the special egg and item hunting, so this is a quick and hopefully helpful guide on what you're looking for and how to find it!
The first step is, obviously, to have an event going at the time. These are usually advertised on the sidebar of the site, just above the 'log out' button.

This banner will direct you to the event page. In order to begin your egg hunt, select the Seasonal Egg Hunt option and proceed to the egg hunt page. This is a step some people miss - at this point, you have to activate the search in order for eggs to appear. Items will appear without the search active, and can be found after the search time runs out.
A search runs for 48 hours, and it is recommended that you do one search at a time if you want to maximize your rewards.

Once you begin your search, you'll be redirected to a four-la
yer image of a scene depending on the event and the planet. Items and eggs will be hidden between these layers, but are visible and often very obvious. Items, however, usually take a bit longer to load than backgrounds - wait a few seconds to make sure everything is visible!
You can also use ctrl + a to highlight anything clickable on the page, or wave your cursor over the scene to see if it reacts to anything clickable.

I'd like to have a list of all of the findable items below - if there's anything I missed, send me an rMail with the item name, the event it came from and the search location (I'm not sure if the location changes anything, but I want to be sure!) This list is INCOMPLETE!
