Why can't I see all my items in Inventory?

Why do certain items not show up in my inventory?

For example, any flowers I pick aren't in my inventory, but I can see them if I go to open a trade (they are on the list of items I can trade).
There are some other items it's done this with but I can't remember which. Is something wrong or is there a setting I can change?

Hey Copper!
Flowers are considered clothing items, and can't be viewed in the inventory. They  can, however, be viewed in the Closet, which is basically an inventory for clothes! c:

Thank you! I didn't realize that you could wear flowers.
