I don't know if this is a dumb question but what are these stats even for?

There used to be a battle/ training system on Rescreatu, these are left over from them days. 
One day batteling will return! 

Now there's a reward system for some stats, 
for example, each unique book you read to your pet will give it a point towards a reward. the more books you read the more Intellect points you get and the more reward points you earn! 

Nourishment points will also award points for their own prize pool and can be obtained by eating different food
