Uh...hey? New person here. Was in the mood for trying a new pet site and well...here I am?

I like it here so far. Only complaint really is the older pla[injection]yers seem to have to monopoly on names. But I do like that pets lose their names if you arn't on the game for a while. I suppose that gives us newbies a chance huh? Oh and I suppose i'm also a little disappointed that you only get 3 hatches a day. Hatching eggs is rather exciting.

Anyway, complaints aside...um...I guess I should say something about me? I'm a bored college student. I like creating characters and writing fanfiction and playing video games and birding and obviously playing pet sites. Hahah.

Anyway, it's nice to be here and I hope to figure out how to make money (it seems like inflation is really high) and get a pretty Calico Aukira and maybe some other things.

Edit: Er...I do have one question. Is there any way to change worlds? I think I chose a world more suited for a merchant than a rancher and it would be nice to switch to the one with the fishing hole so I can feed my pets more easily.

Hi Finch! Welcome to Rescreatu. We're glad to have you. 

As with any pet site, common names are often taken. BUT. The good news is, as you've said, names can be cleared when pets have been dead for a while (well, good news for us -- not for those pets...). And selling names falls completely within the rules, so you can get lots of good ones if you save up a bit of TU. :)

Hi Finch,

Glad to hear that you have been enjoying Res so far. I just would like to answer some of your questions so your mind will be cleared off with this.

[Monopoly in Names]
Though it seems like old players have an advantage with pretty cool names, there are still unknown names there which are still pretty awesome and haven't been used yet. And besides, you can always buy names from old players if you really want to. Saving up for a name can be fun goal in Res.

[Hatching Limit]
When I also first started on Res, I was kinda sad with the hatching limit as well. Come to think about it, the hatching limit was imposed in order to maintain the value of the pets on site and to NOT have a lot of them running around here. On a completely technical note, if we have unlimited hatches, it means more pets and more data storage to be allocated for them.

[Making Money]
The Rescreatu Assistants/Helpers have been making forum threads for newbies to hel them out and with regards to making tu, this thread might be able to help you out tle="LINKie" target="_blank">ja

[Changing Planet of Residence]
As of the moment, there is no way for one person to change the planet where he is living. Yes, there are some planet exclusive things on site like the fishing hole but you can access that when you buy an Atquati VISA, however, this item is not being sold on site and is now being sold by older players at a really high price.

Hey there Finch, welcome to Res!

I do understand your problem with the name thing. I was disappointed when I found that out too. However, think about it, once you get that name, it's yours! No one else owns it, it makes your pet completely unique, and completely your own. I am quite happy to know that my pet, May, is the only May on the game, and forever will be the only one. Same with my pet Legacies. It adds an element that makes names something more than a name. It makes them a collection.

The hatch limit is also hard to take at first. But Frank is right, if we could hatch any egg we wanted there would be no more point to collecting and saving up for the pets. Achros and Albinos could be bought for a few thousand, and natties would be worth even more of nothing than they already are. This way to get to save up for pets you love, and get the rewarding feeling of finally getting a pet c:

I understand the reason for the hatch limit. I'm just impatient. To me for sites where you have lots of pets, it always makes more sense to me to have ID's for pets instead of names so you can name them whatever you would like. But I suppose there is some thrill to having a name no one else has.

Anyway, thank you all for the warm welcome. I think i'll go ahead and check out the newbie tutorial c:

I would just like to point out the that Relcore Fishing Hole is located on Relcore,
so you would require a Relcore VISA instead. Alternatively, there is an old item
called the Planet Mirror that allows for planet changes. However, it is not coded at
this point of time. No worries though, I'm sure a planet changing feature will be
available soon. In the meantime, you can visit the Apple Tree for free food too.

As for pets and IDs, they do have those. The names are just locked on them
unless you use a Name Tag. Welcome to res, Finch. ^ o ^

All these guys have given you some great info but I'd like to add something. I noticed you wanted to change planets because of an easier way to feed your pets. Well you don't have to worry about that because you can pick an apple a day for each of your pets from the apple tree (Games-luck-apple tree) If you do this everyday you will have a constant supply of food. Also if you put your pets in your showroom they won't lose hunger points.
