A good way to start is to hatch some pets and find eggs. You can find eggs under Explore -> Scria/Atquati/Reiflem/Relcore. Just keep searching and you'll eventually find eggs. Once you find them, you can go to your hatchery (the orange egg on the top left) and incubate them. It is recommended not to hatch the egg until it is incubated to 100%, or the button turns green. Then you can hatch it, and maybe it will turn out to be a rare color!
