I know, right? 

Animals act off of instinct most of the time.  If they attack us, it's either because they're hungry, they're trying to protect something, they're scared, or they've lost their mind to rabies.  It's not like we can just use the excuse 'It attacked me first' every time you kill something.  It depends on the situation though...

I'm fine with eating them for dinner because you are getting good out of it but not with just torturing them for no reason. 

I know.  My dad's a duck hunter, and I have no problems with it, because he's partially thinning numbers and kinda helping the environment in a way.

Other than that... it's sad.  I was hanging out with my bf one day, and he was playing a video game, and all of a sudden, there was a random noise of a dog yelping and getting hurt.  It freaked me out... :(

I'm against animal abuse. Wherever humans go, we destroy nature for cities and other modern-day things. What will happen to forests, animals, and natural beauties on Earth? 

Last month, I did a persuasive essay on horse slaughter. I was looking for some pictures, and saw a horse cut in half, with it legs cut off. Sorry if that gives you an ugly visual, but it shows that we, human beings, just do anything for money and power even if that meant killing poor and innocent animals that have been on Mother Earth longer than we have. It's cruel and heartless.

If anyone I know stared abusing an animal, I would murder them in their sleep. Or take the animal.

Honestly, some people use LIVE kittens for fishing bait! If you use a kitten, why not a human Baby? Oh, Yeah, It's our species! Isn't that a good enough excuse? Anyone who abuses animals should go die in a hole.

I hate animal abuse. ;-;

All five of our cats were adopted from animal shelters, or saved from being killed by human incompetance. 

When I make soup, I flatten the cans so that little kittens can't get their heads stuck in them, because I've seen it happen before at the local landfill. :'C

I actually saw a cat get hit by a car, as in I was there and saw the impact. Dx

I was waiting to cross the highway, and a cat was on the other side of the road, about 20 meters down from where I was. And then it decided to cross.

Those kind of images never leave you. 

Erm... Lemme ask this question... Who would be FOR animal abuse? I mean even people who abuse animals wouldn't say 'Oh you have to abuse them. That's the right thing to do'. I mean murdering people is wrong, loads of people do it. None of them would say 'Oh, you have to kill people, it's the right thing to do'.

Animal abusers do have their reasons. They may not think animals have feelings (yes, it's hard to believe but some people do). I mean I don't think fishermen think fish suffer when they catch them. They just think 'Oh, we pull the fish out of the water and it dies'. They just don't put themselves in the animal's shoes. Anyways, really no point in discussing how 'evil' they can be; a person who abuses an animal probably gets punished anyway.

I mean for all I care, we could discuss about people killing humans (which is surprising 'cause no one has ever discussed about anything like this around here xD). I've seen a bajillion threads discussing about people killing puppies and stuff. Maybe people only care about puppies being killed because they're cute and have 'no voice' to speak up for themselves. 

It's actually kind of pointless to discuss somehting like this on a virtual pets site. As.suming everyone who joins one likes pets. Sorry for ruining this thread xD

By the way, I wouldn't call 'killing a bug' animal abuse. That would be considered 'animal murder' really. But don't sweat too much about it, insects have short life spans and they are prepared to be killed (since they lag bajillions of eggs). Even cats and dogs are prepared to die early. That's why they have litters and only need to take care of their young for a short period. I'd have to say; you people have a very strange perception of what 'animal abuse' is. I'd say animal about is the same as 'human abuse' but for animals. Real sorry 'bout that. Dx
