I hate it when that happens. Well, even though I'm 20, I decided to go back to college, so I wont be getting another dog for four years if I go through with everything XD Bubby will be staying at my mom's house in GA, while Im in TN. Ill see him every weekend or so, and I will get him in the summer.
I hate to say it, but sometimes an animal needs to be put down. I've had to give up a few that couldn't be saved. For a while I didn't want anything more to do with any more animals, simply because I knew they would break my heart. But then I ended up finding my black cat and her brother. It was almost like a blessing, ment to be. I still cry somtimes about pets I've had to put down. But then I think that they'll never be in pain anymore, and that helps a little....
