I heard about that! How devastating. A lot of earthquakes have been happening recently, and I'm rather worried. ;~; My area is supposed to be hit with a ma.ssive 9+ magnitude earthquake. Scientists don't know when, but the earthquake is already 400 years over due. :x The last major quake happened 800 years ago. I do remember the 6.9 earthquake that happened in BC around 2001, though.

Apparently the 'quake could be felt from wellington, but i didn't feel it.

Magnitude of 9? Poor you, Ceph! And, I didn't even hear about a recent 'quake... :L. I've had one earthquake in my time, and it was about... 3 years ago? I was asleep and didn't even feel it. It wasn't too bad... I live in England, so we don't get earthquakes. And if we do, they aren't that bad.

I live in NZ, which is right on a fault line, so we get hit by a few earthquakes each year, but not many are as bad as the christchurch earthquake

I live in Napier in NZ. I couldn't feel it here, but my Dad is down in Wellington and felt it. My cousin lives in Christchurch. She was outside. ;o Wellington is due a big earthquake. I used to live there, and all my friends live thar too. I'm scared for them. Wellington is right in the centre of a fault line or whatnot. :o EDITTTT:
The earthquake was only liek 6.3 magnitude. But it was only 5,000 metres underground. Yo.

Ah; I didn't know that, CakeBake. Now it makes sense, since the 6.9 magnitude that happened in my area didn't cause much damage, if at all.

I live in New Jersey, so I've never been through an earthquake :U Either that or it was too small for me to notice XD A few months ago we got hit by hurricane Earl. XD It was soooo funny everybody was like 'OMG WERE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEE' and it was just gentle rain and winds for 3 minutes XD Literally. |
