Really, I wanna know what you guys think about the idea of people wearing dog collars.... I only ask because I've been doing some research lately, and I've found that most people who oppose the wearing of dog collars dislike them because they feel that it is a way of displaying homosexuality...? I know, post and tell me how you feel. I support it, I'm bisexual and well I don't wear anything like that. O_O I do like the style though. My mother would never let me wear anything like that.

I just bought a nice, black leather one with small blue jewels and circular rounded studs at the fair a few days ago. I wear a 21, which is big enough to fit a small Great Dane. XD

I think that dog collars on humans are like anything else: a style. It's a style preference just like clothes or hair. Some people will frown upon it for not being a social "norm" but, in life, there is nothing that pleases everyone. A collar is far from any sort of display of homosexuality. In fact, it's very possible for a man to wear a collar while going out with a woman. Collars represent S&M which can be a part of any relationship, homosexual or otherwise. There's no way to tell if a collared person is in a relationship with a woman or man just because they're wearing one or if that's even what the collar is for. But not all collars represent S&M anyways, just like wearing mostly black doesn't make you goth. It's simply an accessory to wear but, as with anything, wearing it can bring some harsh criticism and rumors on you. If you're not bothered by what people think or have high self-esteem, the, by all means, where it. I personally like the style and have a few friends who do so as well. Sorry for the mini-rant xD I like making my point known when things like this come up ^w^

I have three dog collars and used to wear them in highschool, lol. I just thought they looked cool c:. I dressed pretty punk/goth at the time, though. My friends used to joke around and bring leads to school, haha.
I chose to dress like that specifically to get negative attention. I was always a very shy, awkward kid, and I wanted more self confidence. I thought I'd need a lot of self confidence to pull it off because I'd get a lot of verbal abuse about it. so if I could learn to deal with it my self confidence would eventually be through the roof. I got some funny looks from adults in the street, but because I was generally quiet natured and polite and got on with everyone, there were never any rumours or insults about my dress sense, and if people made *censored*umptions from it they kept it to themselves. lol, but my confidence still improved a lot, somehow.
But yeah, for me, wearing dog collars was just a way to get attention and improve my self confidence. It worked, and I don't need them anymore, so I'm definitely in support c: @Zombie; is Zaji/Lag really canon? :o

Hehe, I used to wear a purple dog collar that belonged to my dog before he grew out of it. Tried to wear it to school once but my mom nearly choked me with it when I tried to leave the house xD (she can only tolerate me so much I guess, xD) But, adding on to what I put before and what Kirsti said, it really doesn't matter what you look like or how you dress, it's how you act. And to answer your question, Kirsti, it's at least a one sided pairing. x3 Zaji has come onto Lag and called him cute on several different occasions but Lag is just too much of a uke to tell if he's just being himself or if he actually likes Zaji back. I only dislike when people try to pair up Zaji and Niche cuz that makes absolutely no sense >.>

I have a couple of collars that i wear, no they aren't shop bought ones, i made these two, but they live in the Costume box for good reason, they are for when i dress up like a pet cat or dog only.

sure, why not? some of them look pretty cool, and they're a lot cheaper at the pet store than if you buy "human" collars. XD they're just like leather chokers.~

Wear it if you like. Really, why should something be bad if it displays that you're gay. Why does wearing a collar mean you like displaying homosexuality? Seriously, it's stupid if you think a person who wears a collar displays homosexuality. In my opinion, you can wear it if you like (but I don't think it looks good anyways, looks really cheap and 'wannabe' to me, sorry). Wear what you like to wear, provided it's not disturbing (like a pair of panties and nothing else).

I agree with Ping. I, personally, wouldn't wear it, because I'm super-geeky and would be slaughtered if I did, plus it's not my style. I would wear it for a costume, sure. I don't mind if others wear collars, they look cool on some people, and it's your style.

My vote is on "I don't care." and I do not "support" any choice. My personal opinion: They look stupid, and I will a.ssociate you with dog kibble if I see you wearing a collar. My apologies. I had three and a half paragraphs explaining why, but decided that was too much rambling.

I have a collar I sometimes wear. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. We put collars on animals and technically thats what we are. But thats just my opinion *shrugs*

Well, I'd never ever been seen wearing a dog collar myself, I personally think they are a bit out there and have the slightest feeling that a dog furry would be inclined to wear them. I know my older sister wore one for a while, it was fun calling her L*censored*ie. But, I suppose if you like it, who's to stop you liking it? I suppose I don't really care if somebody wears them, I mean, it's pretty odd, but hey.

I think that , even if it is weird, it is fine. It is just how God made us - each one unique and all. If nobody wore them, why would they sell it? It is just their personality and we should treasure it.
