yeah, so. I may be getting a dog sometime in the next 2 or 3 months. It's either a:

westie

or

corgi

The gender is undecided. I tend to like:

food names.

Who doesn't ? They're cute. I also like names ending with an 'ie' sound (like Cookie or Coffee etc.) Careful consideration topics:

.the name shouldn't be too silly to call out. Yes, the name Potato is pretty darn cute, but imagine this: "Here Potato!" What an embarrassment .

.one or two syllable names are easier for dogs to learn. Nothing like Pepperoni or Cutie-Wootie-Woo or whatever.

Also.

The names Murphy , Ralphie , Toby and Smurf are pretty 'classic' and adorable at the same time.

I like those names o_o They're mostly for males though.

Thanks in advance.

When I adopted my chihuahua about 7 years ago, I named him Floss. (I know what you're thinking: "wut?" Atleast when I don't want to sound silly, he still responds to 'Boss' or 'Flash')

But if I were naming a dog today, I'd probably call him/her... Lone Star!

Well, if you like two syllable food names, there's always Kiwi (my dog's name). My dog is female, but I think the name is pretty gender-neutral.

Wiggles would be adorable for a corgi. <3 If it's a westie, I suggest Snowy or Snowball or maybe even Snowfluff. xD

How can you try to name a dog before you've met him/her and assessed their personality?
