Hello everyone... I'm thinking of buying a tablet... but sadly I am not really sure what I should be looking for or what brand... pretty much I'll walk into a store/internet site and buy the cheapest one, but I want one that will last.

By any chance could any tablet owners lend me a hand and include some details to watch for, brand names or prices if possible?

Thank You so much!

Bamboo (Wacom) Pen tablets are good. I have one. It comes with a disk that has software on it that you can paint on, or you can use Paint (I don't recommend it) or Gimp. It's about 70 US dollars and you can buy it at Best Buy.

Yeah, what Seeshell said.

This question gets asked so much and I always answer the same way. The Bamboo Fun is a great tablet for a beginner.

I'd recommend not going for a Genius. I used to have one and I hated it for the simple reason that it lagged a lot and disconnected and then wouldn't reconnect.

But I do agree with what the two above me said. Wacom is probably the best brand and I plan on getting an Intuos pretty soon. However, those are really expensive so a Bamboo Fun would probably be the best idea to start out with.

I use a Medion Tablet. I absolutely love it. And it is inexpensive, I bought it for $50.
