The only way for a Creatu to die is if you let its hunger fall to 'Dying' and leave it that way for ten days. Then it'll be sent to the graveyard on Reiflem and you have to make or buy a Resurrection Potion and use it on the dead pet.
Pretty sure those are the only ways a Creatu can die and be revived.
