I think I have one. .-. I'm very skinny and unhealthy. No matter how much fattening foods I eat, which is alot. Half of the food I eat is like, candy, fruit roll-ups, twinkies, ect. I don't eat vegetables at all, only beans and corn. I barely eat anything, these days. I'm afraid I'm going to die from malnourishment. .-. Its just that, I don't feel hungry....So I don't eat. I'm not anarexic [typofail]. I think. o.o

Zozo, you just have a super high metabolism. xD You're like a friend of mine. She's skinny as a twig but I still watched her eat an entire box of poptarts while she was helping me study Spanish. XD

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I tend to forget to eat because sometimes I just don't feel hungry, and sometimes I'll overeat because I can't remember that I ate only recently.
I at the very least try to make sure to eat a meal a day.
You'll probably know that you're starting to get malnourished. xD But even if you're not hungry just try to eat something.

I don't think I'm totally anorexic but some days I just hate my mortality and resent needing to eat. But I don't think that's really anorexia. It's probably something else screwed up in my head.

I actually looked up the definition of Anorexia and I guess there's two types? The physical which is just a loss of appetite like me and Zozo have, and the other is the mental which is the obsessive desire to lose weight by not eating.

My friend actually has the mental kind. :c I always disliked talking about it to him. He's skinnier than me, totally sexy, but wouldn't listen to me when I tried to convince him it's okay to eat.
At one point it was so bad that when we finally got through to him he couldn't eat anything without throwing it back up because he was so unused to food. And another time he was even hospitalized for it. :c
I really hope he's okay. I haven't talked to him since July.

Thats good, I guess. xD Though today I only had a McDonalds hamburger and two cookies. .-. Kinda hungry, but not much.

And I never over-eat. xD We just went to Golden Corral and I had: 5 frenchfries. Two slices of pizza. [small ones]
As for sugar:
Two/Three[can't remember] marshmellows covered in chocolate.
Who knows how many strawberries in chocolate.
Two giant cotton candy things.
A whole bowl of just whipped topping.

God what is wrong with me fffuuu. You can see my ribs if I pull by shirt up. .-. And my fingers look like a skeleton's, with exception of some muscle/meat. You can also see the bones in my neck. Or spine. .-.

And i didn't know you were like that too. D; We need to talk more, I'm behind on my stalking sceduel. >.<
And I hope that dude is okay. :C

I'm same as Zozo regarding the fast metabolism,
I can eat and eat yet I never seem to put any weight on,
I rarely do any working out xD

I do eat sweet things, and few veggies,
but I'm picky with things and I have an issue with mixing
foods due to different textures. I don't mind sauces, but
for example, I can't eat Pizzas or Hamburgers because there
is too much stuff, and eating something soft with crunchy bits
or whatever makes me feel ill, so I just can't eat it :|

Other than that I eat most things, just separate.
Go to a Chinese buffe dinner, and I eat more than my dad,
he's 6ft 5 (nearly 2 metres)

I don't know if texture-issues counts as a disorder or not xD
But it doesn't bother me so, other people just find it strange.

I also have a "patch" on my tongue, that moves every now and then,
and my taste keeps changing so I go on and off different foods
all the time. Dentist said that was having a Geographical Tongue or something.

My "fussyness" irritates dad seemingly all the time,
doesn't matter how many times I tell him, but eh, I'm still here.

Doctors have always said I've been underweight on all my checkups
and that I should eat more, but I can't do anything about it,
I eat all normal portions, sometimes larger than normal, I snack
on things a fair bit, I just never put any weight on ;0

I don't live in America though, I live in Australia :K

I eat everything but not a lot. I get full really easily (I wish I could eat more but i can't oAo). I don't have a fast metabolism, I have quite a slow one. And regarding the fast metabolism, it's better to eat a balanced diet than try to load up on fat food. Eat a balanced diet, but like, eat as big a portion as you want xD. You need protein to build up muscle mass, the aim is not to try and pad yourself out with fat. Fat people tend to have quite large muscles. Eating too much sugar isn't great either. To me, eating too much sugar just throws your body off completely (I've never tried but I've seen other people who lived on a diet of sugar). Also, apparently you need some mineral/vitamins/some stuff (lolidk, I don't know the science behind it) found in other foods in order to build up muscle and fat. Just try and eat a good balanced diet and see how it goes.

 I eat quite healthily (but don't excersize, so I'm not too fit). I also know some people who think eating healthily is just eating nothing but fibrous vegetables. It's not, we can't even digest that stuff. Really, health is just balance. Timing of your meals is also key, eat 3 big meals a day or 6 small ones. I almost never snack (I don't really know if there are any good or bad effects of snacking by the way). Also, get a full night's sleep, most of your growing takes place while you're sleeping. So you need that sleep in order to use up your food efficiently.

My basic rules for health is eat well, sleep well and excersize (I don't do too well in the excersize area. Like I go hiking once in a while, but that's not good enough). Sleeping is the most important bit though. It's like when you turn off your computer to install updates, but with people instead.

Oh yeah, if you're one of those people who don't like eating vegetables, eat a few bits of fruit after every meal. Put bananas in your pancakes, put bananas in your cereal, put bananas in everything (bananas are a good cure for lack of fibre because they can go anywhere). Got sour strawberries? Put them in a salad (yes, the kinds of salads with lettuce and such. It's actually quite nice).

When you're having one of those days when you can't eat, do a sort of 'detox' day afterwards. Don't binge on fast food once you get hungry again. Once you're hungry, eat healthily, have a cup of tea and something that isn't too filling (like a turkey sandwich with lettuce, cranberry sauce and walnuts or a salad or something). Then keep eating healthily for the rest of the day. Don't eat anything fatty, oily or spicy and don't have any fizzy drinks. If you want something sweet, eat fruit. Maybe have fruit based desserts (ask me if you want recipes). No cake or chocolate or whatever. You should get back on track if you have one of these days. You don't necessarily have to eat healthily every day (I have those days when I binge on microwavable pizzas and fast food). xD

Also, another way to cure unhungryness is to excersize or do some work. Use up that food you eat. I find that when I work or excersize more, I get hungry faster.

Oh yeah, possibly the only thing I can call an 'eating disorder' is my painting, drawing or sculpting. Whenever I do any of those, I forget everything. When I finish painting or something (sometimes takes 10 hours), I feel an urge to pee and I become hungry. So I technically wouldn't eat if I'm working on something. Luckily I have family to stop me from working during meal times xD

... Trying to think of anything helpful to say here but I. I can't seem to. I don't really think about how I eat or anything - just that I love food a little too much. xD Honestly, I'll go to a party or something and eat more than anyone else there. I guess at least my metabolism's enough to keep up with it for the most part.

Though occasionally I'll get like you guys too, when I'm sick or something and my stomach's hurting. I just can't tell whether it's hurting for no reason or if it's hunger pains. So I'll forget to eat. Especially since nothing sounds good at the time.

I suppose when I get like that, I try to snack on some light things that are at least a little bit healthy. Or even for normal snacking, really. I love Sun Chips to death for this. They're pretty tasty and they're full of whole grains.

I don't do carrots all that often but they also make for a nice snack that doesn't taste too.. green-y.

Bread's something I like to eat sometimes too. Though I'm not sure if you guys would like that. But like. I could honestly just eat four or five slices in an afternoon if I didn't know my parents needed it for sandwiches. xD Unfortunately they like to get cheap nasty bread so this is really only an option when they let me do the shopping.

And hey, chocolate-covered strawberries are probably pretty decent when it comes to sweets, Zoz. At least underneath the chocolate they're good for you. P:

Just kind of. Gradual steps are best. You don't have to jump up and start eating a perfect diet immediately. That never works out. xD Just try and find some slightly healthier alternatives to the stuff you eat now. Instead of the chocolate marshmellows and candy, in Zoz' case, eat more strawberries. For you guys who can never remember when to eat in the first place, try keeping a schedule and sticking to it as best you can. Even if it's not a full meal, eating a little something at a regular time, a bite or two at least, is always good.

... Oh look I rambled my way into saying things that may possibly end up being helpful.

.....urm I'm kinda gonna go with the assumption that I was what moved Thalia to make this thread XD

I'm really fat.  Like, 5'5, 180 lbs. 13 year old girl who is only a little muscular and has stretchmarks on her stomach, thighs, arms, and chest fat. XD
I've had self-image problems for a longgggg time now.
Erm, anyways, part of my self-image problems happen because of the guy I've liked for 6 years straight now.
He's my neighbor, in almost all of my classes, and one of my best friends.  His name's Mattie.
As we've gotten closer as friends, he'd say things about girls that aren't even that big that bothered me.
For example, when we were discussing Criminal Minds, he remarked 'That computer chick is really fat.  Well, at least chubby.'
Penelope Garcia's a bit on the heftier side, but not really that much.  I kinda see myself around her size, so this really tore me up.  And he thinks that fat girls are ugly.
My mom's been pressuring me to diet for a while, too, and it kinda hurts because she's so firm and kinda accusing.  Like, 'Kayleigh!  FIVE cookies?  Really?' kinda accusing.
So that's been bothering me, too.
Anyways, for almost two months now, I've been skipping lots of meals.
This used to be my eating schedule on a weekday:
Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Snack
Pretty average.  Now, it's this:
Dinner.
Occasionally, I'll have a small snack when I get home from school because I've just grown fed up with trying so hard to be pretty and I wanted to reward myself.  A smoothie, something like that.
My mom, dad, and sister have no clue and continue to tease me and nag about how much I overeat.

The only people who I've really opened up to about this is Thalia and Sianin.  
A few of my other friends have noticed, like Billy, Mattie, and Ethan.
Only Thalia, Sianin, and Billy actually cared.
They try to convince me to eat, but I usually ignore them.  I just replace each meal I skip with plenty of water.

I don't forget to eat.
I choose not to.
I've kinda become obsessed with calories.  I could probably tell you how many calories are in a single french fry.
Even though people tell me I'm not fat, I know I am.
That almost adds up to Mental Anorexia.
I'm not sure it is, though, because I'm not skinny at ALL.
Is that still Anorexia?

I have no clue.
I kinda hate myself, though, and it's not really a good situation XD
I'm gonna stop here.

But seriously, is that anorexia?

Myth, studies have shown that being obseessed with the amount of calories you consume actually is a bad way to lose weight. It's really ineffective and sometimes people gain weight from it. Just eat healthily, eat food that's good for you an excersize.

Choosing not to eat is actually going to lead you to have anorexia eventually. 'Even though people tell me I'm not fat, I know I am.' tells me that you are the perfect candidate for mental anorexia. That kind of mind set is bad. Don't bother how you look. If you know you're healthy, you look good. End of story.

I actually know someone who knew a girl who skipped meals and replaced them with water. DON'T DO THAT. IT'S STUPID. It may seem easier, but it doesn't work. It's also going to ruin your other organs, you won't just lose fat, you'll lose your whole body. You need to work hard to lose weight, eat well and excersize. Skipping food is the worst way to lose weight.

Just eat every meal and make sure your portions are reasonable. Eat slowly and eat until you feel full. Eating slowly helps because it takes about 15 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it's full (pretty damn slow if I might say xD). Also, don't snack. Normally when you snack you eat junk food. That leaves you having less room for the halthy stuff you might eat in your lunch or dinner. If you can't quit the habit, just choose healthier snacks like carrots in humus (sp?) or something.

Oh yeah, here's a few things you should do to lose weight:
- Stay away from fatty meats like pork, beef, camel (with a strong emphasis on camel. It's really fatty)... The list goes on
- Deer (good replacement for beef) and fish are good not very fatty meats.
- Bake instead of fry
- Eat less cheese and creamy things
- Eat less carbs
- Eat a good proportion of meat to veg to carbs. Meat actually keeps you full longer and sometimes eating a little more meat makes a good technique for losing weight. Basically have a balanced meal
- Go for a stroll every day. Bring the dog out if you have one xD

I used to be a bit on the hefty side. But I've lost a lot of weight in recent years without thinking. I just go about my things normally and suddenly my pants are too big for me. If you keep thinking like the way you think like now Myth, you won't get anywhere. Lose weight properly, don't take the seemingly 'easy' way out that has major negative reprocussions.

I've actually heard that eating more often can really help you lose weight, if you make sure it's not junkfood. Like. If you eat multiple smaller meals every day, it helps to boost your metabolism. Only eating one meal actually does the opposite of what you're trying to achieve - since your body isn't getting much to work with, it has to slow down and store more of what it does get as fat reserves.

Also BREAKFAST. It kickstarts your digestive system for the day and is overall VERY IMPORTANT. 8Y It may not seem like it, but while you try to get your meal schedule on track, just make sure not to forget this one like so many people do. Breakfast helps out with so many things.

And while it may not be good to replace your meals with it, water can be very good for you. You might try to keep some water around to sip on but.. make sure to eat too while you're at it. c:


Don't be ashamed of
things like stretchmarks either. In many cases they're completely natural things. They just happen when suddenly your body decides, welp. I'm tired of being a kid. I think I'll have an ample figure now. *explodes*

I've got them too, all over my upper legs. Stretchmarks, that is. I used to be so ashamed of them back when I was around thirteen. But you know what? They don't bother me a bit anymore. :3 I may not be a skinny girl - far from it, really - but honestly, I just figure that's who I am. I know that no matter what I tried, I could probably never be truly thin - its pretty much genetic and I'm stuck with it. So I embrace my big hips and jiggly legs and say, hey. This is me.

Aaand thus why I'm always wearing dresses and other form-fitting clothes in general and yah. I. I try to make my figure out to be sexy. xD And generally it makes me feel great. I found the type of fashion that really works with my body and just. It's all good.

Okay I'm rambling.

Basically my point is that yes, its great to try and be healthy - but don't be too obsessed with changing yourself either. c: The reason for developing healthy habits should be to bring out the best in you, rather than trying to be someone else.

And that goes for everyone, really. Large and skinny alike. Don't be ashamed of yourself. ♥

I hate breakfast ffffuuuu. When I wake up, I'm not hungry at all. When I ate breakfast, it felt as if I was just cramming the food into my mouth. Thus, making me want to puke.

But if it was pizza or something I'd eat it. The yogurt I'm trying to force down my throat isn't doing very well. xDD

And I hate eggs.
Eww. They even taste bad with ketchup.
Grits = Eww.
Bacon = Eww.

And I barely drink water. .-. Just a few sips from the waterfountain each day, some coke or somethin', mabye some water next.

Ah, maybe you just have to find the right food. x3 Sometimes I feel like I don't want to eat breakfast either because I've tired myself out on the food I've been eating for it. So I find something else.

In the past several months I've been doing Eggo french toast sticks or cinnamon toast, depending on which one the store has when I go shopping. P: Before that it was pancakes, and before that it.. uh. Well I don't entirely remember.

Also sometimes if I don't have enough time to really do an actual breakfast, I'll grab a plastic bag of Sun Chips and just munch on those throughout the morning. As long as it's something that's at least half decent for you it should totally work.

Heck, you want pizza for breakfast? Go for it, man. 8Y
