I'm an ecologist- in- training, and I've no idea what to do about the oil spill, but I think it's the worst envionmental disaster. When I saw on the news that it was fixed, I threw a party. The night after, the ancor woman tells me that nope, they won't have it fixed 'till Augest. I was so mad...
Anyway, if the oil was set on fire, how would the g*censored*es effect the ozone la
yer or the animals caught below the surface? It might be a good research topic, but I'm really tired right now. And I like the straw idea, actually, but where would we get it all? That's alot of straw, even if it had some help. So that leaves me to the question: Does straw sink? When it soaks up water, it tends to stay near the surface, but isn't oil dencer than water? Hm....
Anyway, keep this thread going and keep bringing in new ideas, please. I think it's great that you started this, Bella!
