Also, no. Avatar is not technically an anime. Even if it looks like one (though there's definitely influence from western cartooning as well), it wasn't made in Japan. ;o

I still don't get the whole "if it's not made in japan it's not an anime" thing. It's all just cartoon'd. 8I I always thought it was more about the /style/ it was made in than /where/ it was created..just like how a manga is a manga if it looks like a manga, reads like a manga, and follows a manga storyline setup...regardless of who drew it or where? :V

Generally, any anime guy with rectangular, small glasses, intelligent/very many, STUBBLE, fit and slightly muscular, and a little mysterious will fit the bill for me. 8I lelelellele

To me, it just makes more sense for us to call 'em cartoons and comics. Anime and manga are Japanese words that apply to Japanese series. Like how the Korean comics are manhwa.

If something was influenced by a Dutch comic artist's style we wouldn't call it a spotprent, would we? :U
