Every semester for school, my dad counts up each A that I get (unless I get a D or lower that is) and gives me 25 dollars for each A. This last semester, I got 2 A's, which means 50 dollars for me ^^ This is not my problem however. In exchange for my A's /plus/ a painting that I did (worth close to 100 dollars in supplies and work), he is getting me a new art tablet!
Here's my issue: Im trying to find a drawing tablet that is good, under 150 dollars, and preferably works with GIMP or another free art program. I have one that was shown to me by a friend, but Im not sure if it works with GIMP. Its an Aiptek tablet called the media tablet ultimate with battery-less pen. It looks really good, and on the site it comes with Photoshop Elements, which I think is only a photo-editing program, instead of the freehand drawing that I do. Im also looking for other programs besides Gimp that I can work with an art tablet if one doesnt work with Gimp.
If you guys have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate them. Thanks! ^^
