If you have looked at my profile, you'll notice that I help design characters and manga with my friends. We're both fans of Hetalia, FMA, Naruto, Ouran, etc. So, one day, me and my friend (The user Pyrosong), were walking to my house, and we we're taling about soft drinks, mainly sprite and 7up.
So we decided that hey, maybe we should personify some drinks for fun! So we called up my friend (Borknugget on Deviantart, the main illustrator), and we decided it was a good idea. So we picked out some of our favorite soft drink and started designing. Now we're starting a whole comic about it! :)
It's the same general idea as hetalia, but we're using soft drinks instead. I guess to make it more clear, here are some examples:
NAMES
The human names for the drinks are determined by the creator/the person who discovered the drink. Examples:
Caleb- Pepsi
Van- Chocolate Milk
(there are many others, but so many that I can't really type them all out =/)
RELATIONSHIPS
When a drink is owned by another company, it is usually a more brotherly relationship, this includes if a company is allowed to sell another companies products. An example is just recently, Dr.Pepper allowed Pepsi to sell DP products.
If a drink releases a flavor, like how Dr. Pepper has Cherry Dr. Pepper, and so on, and it gets discontinued, then techincally that drink has "passed away". Mello Yello, is a good example for this one.
"Mello Yello, Mello Yello Zero, Mello Yello Melon (discontinued), Mello Yello Cherry (discontinued), Mello Yello afterglow (discontinued)"

GENDERS
The gender of the drinks is determined by the type of soda. The Diet versions of sodas/juices and etc are the female counterparts, and unlike Hidekaz Himaruya's Fem!Talia, there diet drinks are their sisters, and not their alternate versions.
STORY LINE
The story line that was have so far, is that the drinks live in a small town, in an alternate world than humans. But then someone named Hiroshi ends up in the town, where they meet Dr. Pepper, who is quite terrified at first. Apparently, there was a rumor that a human would show up in the town, and whatever company got a hold of them would become the richest and most popular soft drink in the human world.
The gender of Hiroshi cannot be mentioned.
But, the drinks begin fighting with each other, over who should get the human.
That's really all we've gotten so far. But we work on it once a week at least.
THE TEAS
There teas are a very important part to our little story. We have papa Tea, and his two children are Hot tea and Iced tea. Hot tea and Iced tea strongly dislike each other, and each have their own little cafes. They are constantly competing with each other, and pretty much our two main characters for those two are Rasberry tea (Iced tea) and Black tea (Hot tea).
WILL THIS BE A COMEDY? DRAMA?
This small comic was never meant to be completely serious, but it will have it's moments, we always try to put a lot of comedy into our comic :) but we also want people to like the story line, so we will have our moments of seriousness. BI srsly.

*No, if you would like to, you need to RMAIL me, and I will discuss it with our illustrator.
2. Can I claim a drink?
*No.
3. Can I tell my friends about this?
*Sure, but we're still in the process of making the comic, so there's nothing really up right now
4. Do the drink companies know your doing this?
*No, but ALL SOFT DRINK BRAND NAMES ARE COPYRIGHTED TO THEIR COMPANIES, WE DO NOT OWN THE DRINKS, WE OWN THEIR CHARACTER DESIGNES
