See what, an alligator?

I join! Wolf hunting is horrible. I mean what do they do With the wolves after they kill them, cut off the heads to put or their walls or just for the wierd boy entertainment of killing things that they know can't fight back against their stupid guns? Wolves are beutiful animals+my dog, Shadow, is part wolf.

But also, like the others said, I don't think posting it on a pet website helps anything.

I'm joining. I hate how those people are smiling as if to say I just killed a beutiful wild animal! It makes me sick.

I had a coyote in my backyard one time playing with my dog.

Yeah, I'm more worried about Cougars.  I'd be freaked out if a cat that could weigh over 100 pounds came charging at me.  No they don't hunt catterpilars, that I know of anyway.  I'm just trying to get my point out there that it doesn't matter what an animal looks like because people keep stating stuff like 'wolves are beautiful creatures' and such.  Tell me do you think that not beautiful or not cute animals should die?

Okay, I heard someone saying something about caterpillar hunting... I think it's nice and all other people care about 'uncool' animals and all, but caterpillars were built to be killed. Hundreds of eggs are laid at a time and they only live to just over a month at the most. They're built to be killed and therefore, it's not like 'hunting' (caterpillar hunting... what a sissy sport?) them is going being extict, their population is currently, very sustainable. Since they breed and dies so quickly, they can adjust to current conditions more easily. I just wanted to clear that up.

Lauren: I'll have to disagree with you there. Every animal has their right to live and their right to die. For instance, if there was an animal suffering from some incurable disease and would surely die, I'd rather end it's misery. Even with humans, people who have been on life support for years and have no way to be awaken deserve their right to die too. Not everything wants to live or wants to die.

Some animals have to be killed to control the ecosystem as well, for example rabbits. If the population of one animal is too big, other species will suffer, and not just animal, plants will too. So if we let one population get to big *coughhumanscough*, all the others suffer.

Furthermore, we humans are trying to preserve species that would've been extinct hundreds of years ago (without human interference). They're not adapted to this planet in it's current state and we should just allow them to save themselves the trouble of trying to survive here, but everyone here thinks letting a species go extinct is bad. Everything has a good case and a bad case, just sometimes one of the cases isn't that obvious.
