What would you do if you were kidnapped in the middle of the night as a child, given a gun, and told to kill your parents? Would you tell the government about it and try to escape? While you may be able to escape, the government would be much harder to get on your side. Why?

Please research more about this charity rather than just watching that video. Most of the facts are completely over exaggerated.

Joseph Kony left Uganda about five years ago. People don't even know if he's alive. Many Ugandans think he's dead. 5 years ago, Kony rarely caused any trouble. This 'war' Invisible children talk about ended about 20 years ago. Kony hasn't caused any trouble and will probably never cause anymore trouble again (since he may be dead). We don't need to stop him because he may have stopped permanently. No one has ever seen any traces of the LRA for a long time.

Only 30% of Invisible Children's donations actually go to the cause.
Most of that 30% goes to the corrupt Ugandan army.

Invisible children has bent the truth completely. They aren't even doing what they say they're doing. In fact the American Army may make this non existent conflict even worse. If there are remnants of the LRA somewhere, they will probably build up the army again to fight off the Americans. Neither the Americans or Ugandan army can prevent any attack because the LRA is probably no longer based in Uganda and they are not allowed to cross foreign territory.

My concern is that Invisible Children just seems to seek revenge. They want this man captured rather than actually helping the people he hurt.

Uganda's problems are not caused by Kony. There are a lot of geopolitical and social issues in Uganda. Kony is a result of those issues.

Just because Kony is the world's most wanted criminal doesn't mean he's still commiting crimes. Remember the days that people weren't even sure if Bin Laden was alive? Kony is like that.

Guys there are far more pressing matters than this.
Have you heard of what's happening in Syria?
There was also an earthquake in the Phillipines that still needs aid.
There's a drought in West Africa.

Please, do some research. You're not allowed to have an opinion, only an informed one.

Help with current issues. Not things that have affected people 20 years ago.

Please convert your willingness to capture Kony into a willingness to help people in need. We need to deal with more pressing issues that can actually be dealt with.
