Anyways, Mabinogi has one of the most unique real-time fighting system of all of the MMORPGS I have ever played - it's as based on your own skill as a player (your mind games, your reaction times, your strategies) as it is your in-game character's skill. I love it; you really have to think quick if you want to escape deadly combos. It's easy to pick up the basics, but there are an infinite number of strings of combos.
Anyways, Mabinogi is based on Celtic mythology and there are currently 15 story lines or "generations" that you can play through, all telling their own story and complete with cut scenes. The later generations also have voice actors. Aside from running dungeons and shadow missions (another way to earn gold and exp), Mabi also offers a commerce system. You can also cook food, fish, compose and play songs, own a homestead, have pets, and there are also a variety of events that Nexon hosts for its players.
Mabinogi does take a while to slip into, but it was completely worth it for me. Aside form the fantastic game play, I've met a lot of great people.
