Anyways^^ That's not what this thread is for. I have a story that is about Slaves and Masters and all that in the old century xD
I need to know as much as possible about it  so I can get more ideas. xD
And, I'm trying to figure out the time this all happened. What century were there Masters and Slaves?
Back then, was it only African American people? Or did white people be slaves too if they were born with their parents as slaves?
Please give me every detail you know. I'm still trying to figure out how to start the story. D:

Oh gosh, slavery's everywhere, even today. And even before the infamous African American slavery that happened way back then in the old USA. Doesn't matter on skin color or race.

It's hard to pinpoint which century slavery has happened, because I believe it happens in nearly every century. It may have been viewed as hard voluntary labor back then, or forced labor (either temporary or until the slave dies).

In a way, we're all slaves to some higher power, if you think about it. xD; Being a slave just turned into being an average everyday worker.

But if you're talking about extreme circumstances, I do believe even African people were slaves amongst themselves. Not to mention the feudal/ancient eras in some regions of Asia, they also used slaves. Oh, and let's not forget about the Germans infamosy of using the "impure" people (such as Jews, gypsies, anyone that didn't fit their "perfection") for those cruel labor camps. It's not only Germans though; I'm sure nearly every country in Europe dabbled in the usage of slavery at some point in time. South America had some slaves too, although I have very limited knowledge on that. The only continent I'm not sure about is Austrailia. xD

Heck, the Norse Vikings took slaves from just about anywhere. While it's true that in the ancient cultures of the Greeks, Celts, Romans, and such, where most if not all the upper class were fair skinned, the darker skinned slaves were considered more exotic, anyone could be a slave. The Norsemen were ruthless plunderers. If they took your village, they would take the strongest men and enslave them. This not only cowed the men and made them helpless, it also lessened the chance of rebellion.

The whole idea of slavery didn't PUBLICLY end (since there still is quite a serious problem with black market slave trading) until some time around... the 17 to 18 hundreds. Between when England stopped taking part in the slave trade and the Emmancipation Proclamation. Of course, England never really had too much to do with owning slaves, they just traded them.

Now some African countries have never stopped publicly dealing slaves, such as Saudi Arabia.

I just wanted to help a bit. My father and I are history buffs. ^-^
