My friend said that there was a way so it wouldn't be just the 31 day trial? Is that true and if so could you help me? I'm really interested in doing paintool SAI.

It's not in stores mind you, you've got to use paypal and stuff like that. Don't try hacking the software, SAI's actually one of the hardest things you can hack xD

I really do recommend buying it. A lot of good artists on DeviantART use and it only costs around 60 dollars (5250Y to be exact), which I think is a great deal compared to other software on the market and it's the program I plan on purchasing soon.

And Ping is totally right, unlike the Americans, the Japanese have a firm hold on their software xD

You do need paypal but the good news about that is they send you the code by email as soon as they confirm your order, so you don't have to wait for the disk from Japan and can probably start using it within the day.

I had Photoshop and I knew how to use it pretty well but I still hated it. To me it was overly complicated and didn't come with the basic features that I would have really appreciated. Sure I could download a bunch of brushes and stuff, but it's a waste of memory and time in my opinion. When I tried out SAI I was quite surprised how simple and easy it felt to draw in it, even if it was simple mouse doodles I still had quite a lot of fun using it and I'm eager to see what I can do with it once I purchase it and a tablet.

And that's the other side of the discussion xD 

Ahaha. blame my dad for that one xP He was the one that ordered it for me.
I still think I'll stick with getting SAI. I've got too many programs I need to get for my computer so it's cheaper and works fine for me. ^^
