What pisses you off? I think that it would be best to state that here, so everyone knows exactly not what to do around you! c;

I have sooo many pet peeves, but one mainly:

Powerplaying and mary-sues. (That was two. Whatever. :I)

I just. Flip. Out. And leave without a second thought if someone does this. I don't know why it gets to me so much, but it does. So don't do it guys. DON'T. >:c

Okay, now your turn~

People who hate Mary Sues

but do not see the signs

and thus, create one.

"No Mary Sues allowed! But for the record I'm making my character super fast and really hard to defeat and give her purple eyes and HOMG she's soo beautiful too."

You, sir, are a hypocrite.

Another thing is when every single one of a person's character is

YOUNG.

It's like there's this unspoken rule not to make anyone over the age of thirty (or at least, to give them the appearance of being over thirty). When it comes to animal roleplays they're always "young adults". How convenient. Every wolf in the pack has just left adolescence. That handsome magician is all-powerful at the age of 18. That 578362-year-old vampire is SO SMOKIN' HOT. Wrinkles? Don't those live in the sea?

Roleplayers. Why do you obsess over perfection? Don't you see characterization flaws when you're faced with them? 8(

Greed's bad. And irritating as hell. Want something. Get it. Want something else. Get it. Whinge if you don't. Complain how it's out of your reach. Sigh. Forget about everything you had before. The dissatisfaction rates of some people are unbelievable. I get it, collectors have a duty to fulfill. That's okay if you love to horde and stash awesome things. But... start replacing "need" with "want". You need water, food, shelter (and love <3). You do not need a GaS Jahra, iPad, or jacuzzi to survive. I guess on Res it's pretty harmless though, to have a little dance at every pretty new pet that's released.

But lol. God forbid you end up homeless, without your precious internets.

I'm trying to take this serious, but then I see your siggie and I'm rolling over laughing. xD

But seriously. Those things annoy me a great deal as well, mainly the Mary-sue thing. Like, I have this fifteen year old supermodel girl who get shot with a gun! But survives! And look at that! She's still gorgeous.

Imagine one of the Avengers' birthdays. They set up a party, assemble the rest, have a great time dancing and playing frisbee with Cap's shield and pushing Loki over in drunk fights - repeatedly. And then Tony takes a dare too far and brings over one of those... plane-whales.

GUYSSSS THERE'S ENOUGH ROOM FOR US ALL! ... Oh, sorry, building.

Eugh. :c

I mean, I'm guilty as charged, my first few characters started off really idealised, when I was new to roleplaying and ooh it's all so exciting. Now I've wisened up a bit I'm trying to work on making slightly more... believable characters.

To be honest my main turnoff in these Forums is how much peoples' characters live up to my expectations. There's hardly anything... striking, unique, or thought-provoking anymore. People don't challenge themselves here. It's just... an endless cycle of the same general storylines, the same pool of character stereotypes. Nobody wants to have a go at something fresh - or at least, make an effort to keep fresh things alive.

I even made up a parodic Mary Sue roleplay - followed by an attempt at a revival, which also failed - and nobody even posted after making a bio. Worst still, other users actually said they'd post a bio for the fun of it and not even roleplay. That irritated me very much. I'd love to give it a third go, where people can be as ridiculously "perfect" as they want, and not worry about originality xD

Knowing Stark, I'm sure he'd do that. ^^;

Wait. What's-her-name and Clint would have a really difficult time with Shield Frisbee. They would just keep getting nailed: Neither of them have a considerable enough amount of strength to throw Steve's shield. c;

And I know what you mean. All I see these days is the same plot with the same perfect characters. I'll admit I've made a few myself, but it's hard to resist once and while to make up a character with no faults. Once and while, that can be fun.

Clint would just sit on the sidelines, shooting arrows sulkily to knock the shield off course, and Natasha would just stand around in her catsuit to knock off their concentration.

Yah, totally xD Making overly-perfect characters can be good fun. When I look back at how my old characters were like, I just think...

But at least you learn from your mistakes :P Making a few bad characters doesn't instantly make you an unimaginative person. It's like developing any other skill, in a way. Work at it and you'll get good results. It's fun to venture out and look into other genres beside anime and manga.

Not saying everyone makes anime-like characters. But it's like animes are the main inspiration for character-making in the first place. As for Appearance in bios... xD

Okay anyway hehe.

I guess my biggest one is like. When people have no regard for others' beliefs or opinions. Or even just feelings. Feelings are important too and it is an awful thing to ignore that.

It's fine to talk about orientation or religion or anything really. It's fine to discuss. But it is not fine to insult people who don't hold the same beliefs or like the same things as you. It is not fine to curse someone out just for doing something you don't like, or for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and happening to get in your way. It is not fine to forget that the people you're talking to/about are human beings. I mean, just- good golly gosh. Have some decency.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can do these kinds of things. I- I want everyone to get along. I want everyone to be friends. And it honestly tears me up inside to see people be so hurtful.

Even just people being all like "I hate my brothers," gets to me a little. I.. the reasons are always so petty and ridiculous why would you say that. Don't say you hate someone unless you have a darned good reason okay. You can hate someone for killing a person you were close to. You can hate someone for burning your house down. But please don't say you hate someone for being loud or stealing your gum or not sharing the Xbox. Please.

I suppose this is all very naive of me. I know that. But.. goodness, I just. I hate seeing people fight. I remember I actually took some really in-depth personality test once and that was exactly my result. I was the peacemaker. I was the one who does everything in her power to avoid negative confrontation. I-

I'm rambling. I should stop talking about this aaaaa I'm getting myself upset. This is- this is the one thing I'll get readily angry about. I can't even talk to people who are saying hurtful things without drenching the entire room in angry tears.

Don't worry, babe.

You're not alone.

I've never liked fights. I don't like all this judgemental bashing and refusal to accept people for who they are. There are a few opinions out there I get a bit irked over, but hey - it's not like their opinion can affect me directly. If it does, I'll just assemble (THE AVENGERS AGHAGAGHA) some other dudes who share my views and... have a big debate or something xD Debates are great. But a lot of the time my thoughts on almost everything are "well, I just can't know." Even if I sound completely one-sided most of the time, I like to consider what's happening with the opposition in my head.

But all this... badness in the world... All this corruption...

I'll avoid from ranting, my posts are already chunky enough.

This might sound a little out of place here, but that line there in your post Wolfeira 'But all this... badness in the world... All this corruption...'

I was thinking about something similar to what's being said on this thread right now, how there's so much violence and judging in the world, when something happened that made me smile. I'm not known for smiling, I admit, not that that means I'm not happy, I just... don't smile a lot. I doesn't mean the emotions aren't there though. Well anyway, as I was thinking all of this over, I spotted a doe laying down in a field. Normally you don't see deer lying down like that, but as I watched this tiny little fawn got up and started bouncing towards her. He was so small his head didn't even reach above the grass. xD

My immediate reaction was actually surprise that something so innocent and pure could just... happen like that, because we're so used to hearing about all this badness.

Greed and hatred for petty little things like fighting with your siblings over who's better at building in Minecraft or something irk me so much. Why can't people just be thankful for what they have?

What really irks me is when people can't accept themselves for who they are, like when someone is all like, "I really wish I could draw just like them, because my art sucks!"

Everyone is unique in their own way, and I wish people would just accept that instead of arguing over it all the time.

On the subject of Mary Sues, those just annoy me to death. I admit, I'm guilty of them, but nowadays I at least try to keep things in the realm of reality when it comes to a character's personality. I hate it in a group roleplay when someone goes and says, 'she's the most beautiful cat in the while clan,' and doesn't give any deion whatsoever.

I'll just stop right here as this will probably keep going on and on. I've already had quite the time trying to keep this thing small.

Although I must say Wolfeira, I've been staring at your siggy for at least fifteen minutes. xD

Yes, Tony's surprise party guest captivates pretty much everyone on the Forums xD

It's not out of place :) If anything I'm glad I heard it. It sounded pretty pristine.

But (D')oh maan, I love deer. The only problem is the ones around my home are so damn wild. I know, that sounds odd - deer are supposed to be wild. But I mean wild in a kind of... magical sense? Just three miles from my house is a kind of country park with a deer reserve. And a lot of them escaped. Sometimes we see them - normally in the distance, bounding through the forest away from our pesky pups. But this one treasured time, a loner obliviously wandered up to the road leading to the car park, saw myself and my dad with the dogs, and took off like a rocket. It was a young stag, so swift and... perfect. He was close enough I could make out his nostrils.

I know they're considered vermin and it's sensible to shoot them sometimes and blah blah.

But around here, in little South Wales, they're the perfect embodiment of the wilderness, of what's left of the wilderness. I've never seen a deer from my house. At least, from the looks of things, parts of America still hold onto that wildness. You've got such an incredible variation of wildlife. Sometimes competition for space is really strenuous. But... to see an especially mystical animal here, like an otter or mink or bittern... is pretty rare. If it's not dead on the road, it's migratory and isn't even in the country half the year. Or it's in an exhibit. Or it's on special land that you're not... really allowed to walk into. Either way, it can be so difficult to see anything special xD Except for maybe kites. Kites are doing better here than any other part of the UK.

They're like ghosts at Gelli Aur (the park; it's Welsh for "golden grove"). They might roam but they're always.... around. And when I see them, I just... get so happy xD I'm like a kid whenever I see a wild animal, I get so excited. Their... innocence, in a way, feels like a rare jewel or something in the world we have now. In this "bad world", there are these ghosts still hanging on, ghosts that have been around as long as us, maybe even for longer.

And it irks me when people don't want to keep these natural kinds of things going. In time they're not gonna be the ghosts pausing under the conifers, against the green, sliding through the trees. They're gonna be ghosts in our minds, in sullen, cracked paintings and books that just don't capture that... perfection.

Uh oh, poetic rant. D: Sorryyy.

I love hearing and seeing the wildlife around our house. I have so many tales I could tell it's not even funny. Like the baby turkeys underneath the window, so close you could hear their peeping. Or the turkeys in our yard sheltering under the trees from the rain. It's certainly something to walk outside in the morning to be greeted by the far-off gobble from one of the many giant toms we have running around.

Trust me, it's the funniest thing to see a flock of fifty or more giant birds walking down the road and in your yard while you know there's a hunter in the woods during turkey season. xD

We have smart turkeys. And I know that's probably one of the strangest sentences that's ever come from me.

Our deer are... wild and tame at the same time. We have a lot of them around. It's not unusual for us to have several does with single fawns, and then have two or three with twins. Sometimes we see one with triplets. For a couple years we had a doe that would bring her fawns that we probably only a week or two old out in front our house. They were so small! xD

The deer don't seem to be afraid of people really. Sometimes they don't even run from cars as long as they're not in the road. The fawns are pretty bold too. I've been standing only about ten feet away from one before.

The coyotes moved away from the area a long time ago, I've only ever seen the tail of a fox disappearing into the brush, so there's not much that preys on the animals. It's certainly lead to an abundant rabbit population.

I hate how people always take it upon themselves to weed out animal populations. 'Cause guess what? If you hadn't cleared their predator's home ranges out for farming, their would still be something to help keep their population in check! It's always bothered me that humans seem to set their own needs and wants so far above those of our wildlife, and nobody seems to care anymore. I mean people do care, but nothing is really happening to stop the destruction of habitat where these creatures, that have been here for longer than we have, or at least in a lot of cases, live. There's so much beauty in the natural world, and it never ceases to amaze me how time and time again, people overlook it. Sooner or later there's not going to be forests and untouched fields left for new deer and turkeys, like that little fawn I saw last week in the field (Who happened to be the first one I've seen this year) to be able to run free in.

When you see something like a fawn kicking up it's heels, or staring you down ten feet away, it really brings home how beautiful life really is, if you choose to not only look and see, but accept that we humans are not the only living thing on this planet. To  me all living things should be able to live life to the fullest, and in the case of something like a deer, not have to worry about getting shot because you exist and someone says there's too many of you.

I have nothing against hunting deer for food, I mean, that's part of life, but treating them like vermin because they ate your carrots... well, carrots are tasty. They were just looking for food, just like you're growing the carrots for food.

Anyways, I believe this rambling post has gone on long enough. O_O

I watched this kickass documentary about turkeys and the research the scientist made kind of proved they really are smarter than we take for them to be. This guy raised and lived with a clutch of turkey babies right from the egg for an entire year - and in doing so, he didn't see a single human being. He tended to them, foraged with them, explored the wilds near his house with them, like their mum. And the animals started to accept him. He could lie underneath a tree with his turkeys and the deer wouldn't scarper. The turkey chicks would even play with the fawns. It was incredible.

Your own stories sound so fascinating xD I wish I could experience all that. We have a few kites flying over - sometimes so spectacularly low - but my freaking badger of a dog would run out of the house on her "bird patrol" and bark at anything that passes overhead. Roaring jets, helicopters, buzzards - nothing daunts her. Warm summer's day when everything is out and about? TIME TO CLEAR THE SKIES!

I'd say more about the turkeys but I gotta go. I'll let you know more about them tomorrow :)

LOL. One of my dog does that with balloons. Trust me, it's the only time he really get moving too. He's a chow mix, and he has only three speeds: Slow, slower, and stopped. If there's a balloon in the sky he might actually start trotting. xD

I've watched that documentary on turkeys, actually. At least I'm pretty sure it's the same one. It was amazing how they imprinted on him like that, and their curiosity towards unnatural things was actually rather fascinating. I believe the guy's name was Joe Hutto.

Stupid cyclists drive me crazy. Riding against traffic, ignoring traffic lights/signs, riding without any lights or reflectors at night... I've seen it all more than I care to. These guys want to use the streets like cars but they want the benefits of being a pedestrian when it's convenient. For some reason a lot of cyclists where I live seem to think that just because they aren't in a car they get to do whatever they want, and that it's up to drivers to avoid them. Just because there were a couple of fatal hit and runs in the area that led to drivers going to jail, they think if they get hit it's automatically the driver's fault. Few of them seem to realize that there are laws regarding cycling and if they break them and get hurt in the process, they'll get in trouble, not the driver. Besides that, why would anyone want to break the law and risk getting hurt? I would have thought the outcome of a collision between a puny little bicycle and my two-ton steel box on wheels would be common sense. Sometimes I wish there were cyclist's licenses just like there are driver's licenses...

THAT'S the guy! Mr Hutto revolutionised turkeys. And his drawings are so nice, too.

I don't drive but I know what you mean, Flammable. If they're using the roads they should respect that cars use them more often than bikes (at least, it seems). Motorcyclists scare me when they drive stupid. :c They're so much nimbler and smaller than cars, but that doesn't make them any less easy to avoid.

I have an extreme issue with PDA (Public Displays of Affection) in schools and other areas. Uhm. Excuse me? You're in a school; people are trying to learn here. So, can you stop sucking face for one moment? I can manage people holding hands, but as soon as they start doing long hugs and kisses, I'm out.

Oh, you want to make out at the bottom of the stairs so no one can pass?

You're awesome.

I have a major issue with people who buy a pet because they think it looks cute or cool, but don't do any research beforehand.

That's what happened to one of my dogs. We got him when he was... 9 or 10 months old I think. He's a Great Dane X East German Shepherd cross, and he's quite a handful. He was probably really cute and not so big yet, but he was scary when we first brought him him home, because he wasn't too fond of my other dog, but they do tolerate each other now. My other dog needed the companionship though, because the puppy we raised him with got cancer when he was only four years old, and we had to put him down. He was a beautiful wheaten colored (He got the coloration from his mother, and we figure his father was probably a very pale tan color or white <3) Irish Wolfhound X German Shepherd with a black and silver muzzle. We knew Wolfhounds had short lifespans, but we weren't expecting him to get cancer so early because he was a cross. :I

Anyway, my dog now is still a puppy, but he's just really large, and he doesn't really care for other dogs. (He's around 32 inches at the shoulder I believe. The wolfhound cross was around 36.) He looks a lot like a giant, lanky GSD but his face is a little wider across his cheekbones,  and he has the blue merle coloration of a dane.

As a young puppy he was likely allowed to climb up on the furniture probably was allowed a lot of freedom. But when he got too big and too out of control he was left at the shelter. A lot of people seem to end up getting rid of large dogs because they don't realize how big they actually get.

Take some time and do your research people, it's worth it in almost all cases.

Talking to someone on the phone who then turns around and goes all uppity and rude because you're having a lie in and they're at work :I
Quote of this morning: "It might be too early for you, but here work still goes on you know".

I sort of totally figured that out when you called me... Idiot :I

And yes, Mary-Sues and God modding. And not using sentences but just going on and on without a full stop or a comma and there's no real tone in the sentence anymore because even in your head it's rambling on and on and you don't even know where the conversation begins and the dialogue ends and they also can't spell but start writing a 'serious' comic which they've been working on for years but they haven't actually taken the time to learn to spell!

...... Eheh. I suppose I'm kind of guilty of using sentences that run on and on without proper punctuation. But I kind of like taking advantage of how it loses its tone and sounds rambly and the longer it goes on the faster your mind starts to read it and yah. I'm not always all that coherent when I talk, and the characters I play definitely aren't all that coherent, after not having taken a rest break since like two or three years ago our time. They're gonna ramble now and then.

Besides, a long-running sentence kind of makes things feel...... exciting and quick! Like everything is passing the character by too fast it's all panic chaos insane oh gosh oh gosh they can't get a grip on the situation help!
