So I just got a new 3DS, and now I can finally use Wi-Fi! But I was trying to sign up for pokemon global link, so I went to "game sync settings" on my menu screen, and it said that the user information from the "DSi" system and the save data do not match. Then a screen came up that said "Update Wi-Fi User Information saved in the save data? When you update your Wi-Fi User Information, YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA THAT WAS USED TO CONNECT TO NINTENDO WI-FI CONNECTION. I assume that this means selecting "yes" would just overwrite my games previous Wi-Fi settings and replace them with the 3DS settings, but I'm afraid that something DISASTROUS would happen, like all of my saved data getting deleted. It's probably just pointless paranoia, but IS THERE ANYONE WHO HAS DONE THIS BEFORE and so can assure me that it's safe? Thank you!

I have used my pokemon game on different DS's and connected to the internet before, don't worry, the worst that'll happen is you're friend rooster will be emptied, you're entire save file will not be deleted
