Rebecca Black- In my opinion, I've had enough of her. I walk down the street, I hear, "IT'S FRIDAY FRIDAY GOT TO GET DOWN ON FRIDAY" on someone's cell or someone trying to imitate. That song is driving me nuts. :c Her other songs are just as bad. I'm surprised someone even offered her a contract or a record deal.

I'll just make this simple. Not only did I not like the song itself, but she sounds horrible. She has the most annoying voice I have ever heard. More annoying than Fran from The Nanny, and Janice from Friends. "Oh... my... god!"

Her song annoys me a huge amount, but I don't hate Rebecca Black. She's just a kid, I don't see any point in getting so worked up over her. "Friday" itself is a pretty horrific song, and I agree with the critics when they dub it one of the worst songs ever. I hate it. But I still feel slightly bad for her, for some reason. Didn't her parents force her to do it? And why didn't anyone stop her if she was clearly so terrible, with the songwriter being just as bad? After all, the lyrics were written by Ark Music, not her, and her mother paid around $4,000 to Ark to have it produced. I'm blaming the idiots who put her to do it, and convinced themselves they could make money out of her. True, she probably should've tried to stop them, but I doubt a 13-year old could withstand a crowd of voices egging her on it and insisting she had talent... And if we're going to blame anyone for her success, it's ourselves (or at least, anyone who did) for being supportive enough to watch her video to feed our/their dislike, and then whine about it afterward. I can't quite believe I'm saying this, but there are plenty of people in the world who deserve death threats and to be hated. But a 13-year-old girl who just made an awful noise? That's pretty sick. The parodies are fun though. xD

I completely agree with Wolfeira. Couldn't have said it any better myself. Because most of the people on here keep hatin' on the kid out of ignorance. Sure, she autotuned her voice, but that's the "in" thing right now. Nearly every mainstream pop star autotune their voices at some point. Besides, I'd probably prefer her song over those vulgar hip hop songs.

I don't like it much, though I can't say I hate her. She might have bad music, and I do hate her music, but that doesn't give me a good reason to hate her. ;p Sort of annoying. All the kids are school are singing this...D:

It's unfortunate that her parents' attempt to spoil her a little backfired. I think Ark's whole racket is just despicable. They write awful songs, get kids to sing for them while the parents pay for it. They're bringing kids up with high expectations and low standards. |

Even that doesn't amount to go so far as to send threatening messages to her. Rebecca Black is pretty. She has a gorgeous voice without autotune. She's not a bad person! Rebecca just doesn't deserve crap like this. Give the hate a rest. |

Hammer - a few of us have expressed our dislike in a controlled way, and we've kept ourselves from actually hating Rebecca herself. I'm not having a go at you for maybe not reading over the earlier posts, but I'm just clarifying that a few of us sympathise with her, and actually feel sorry for her in parts. :) I know I do... :c But yeah, I'm just here to express my thoughts because I've been unable to speak about it anywhere else. Plus the notion of softening a few peoples' opinions about her was appealing to me... |
