YAY!

So... Shoot any questions you want at me. :D

After I get more used to this place, I might open a request or commission thread for syn symbols~

That would be so cool xD
It's just like.. Mind blowing. I read Mondays are Red when I was like ten and I was completely overwhelmed.

That is just amazing, seriously. Is it not incredibly strange sometimes?

Nah, it feels completely natural to the synee, as we're born with it. Being "normal" would be incredibly strange to us. XD; But yeah, I did feel a little odd when people started throwing the bible at me. I found out about "souls", and for a while, I thought I was actually seeing the souls of people when I shouldn't be. O_o But then I found out about synesthesia. It also explained why I would sometimes hear music out of nowhere whenever I see a specific color...

Hehehe. You ever seen that weird music video with the koreans based on synesthesia?

ok....I must say this is the coolest thing I have ever heard of. I'm sorry if this is too prying, I'm just really curious:

How do you see the symbols? Is it above the person's head (or some other physical place on or around them, that's just the first that came to mind) or just when you think of them you see the symbol?

It's ok, Pippit. Well, it's more of a mental thing. Whenever I'm talking to a person or otherwise focus on them, a fog forms inside my mind. I then focus on that fog, center my thoughts on it. it then forms into an image, a symbol. The symbol is crisp and detailed and unique to each person. Sometimes it manifests as common objects, such as pitchers, eggs, buildings, furniture, and such. Other times it's abstract, sometimes even physically impossible to draw.

Contrary to common belief, sight-based synesthesia rarely actually appears in actual vision, so it's not really 'seen', but materializes within the brain subconsciously. Since sight syn results from a cross-over from another sense rather than actual light reception, it manifests mentally rather than visually.

I also have weak sight-sound syn (some colors make me hear music out of nowhere even when it's quiet).

And I agree, synesthesia is awesome. XD It's a genetic mutation that's actually considered a gift. *laughs*

That is so cool! I must say it's an honor to have this conversation, I've heard of Synesthesia before, but haven't met anyone with it.  Thank you! :D

I can't even imagine how amazing it would be to see (mentally or not, it's easier to say 'see' sorry :P) everyone's different image/symbol

Oh don't worry. Technically it is 'seeing' and synees call it that way. I was just clarifying it since some people take the 'seeing' thing too literally and complain about it. Some people reject synesthesia, thinking it's just the imagination of people. :/ It's been proven that it's caused by a genetic or brain mutation though. I have a damaged brain, resulting in numerous health issues, deafness, and a form of autism along with synesthesia, so it's pretty much real for me. XD;

I've always found synesthesia so very interesting. I've never talked to a person with  synesthesia, this is all very wonderful. Sorry if this is personal, but what kind of music do you hear when you see colors, such as cl*censored*ical or maybe from a certain musical artist? Is it like a specific song or musically instrument playing when you see a color or is it the same for each color?
