She doesn't really go crazy, she just goes into depression, and she takes it out on every other cat.

Fireheart is Firestar. :O Bluestar dies because of a dog pack tigerstar set on them, Spottedleaf dies, alot of cats die in the first book.

Fireheart becomes firestar in the last book, the darkest hour, when bluestar dies in the previous book's last chapter. He becomes Firestar in the third or fourth chapter, I think.
