Well if it's an untaken name, there's a reason she didn't say it, Bella. xD There's always that possibility that someone will decide to steal that name you wanted..

I'd say if you want it, go ahead and take it. There's no reason not to. ;o I s'pose I view things as a collector; I'd rather grab the name and have it with me, instead of letting it go and possibly regretting it later. Happened to me with Elendira. I kept putting off grabbing the name, and then the next time I checked, it was taken. Not too horrible, but I still regret it.

As for what a good name is.. Basically, in my opinion, it's any name that you like, or that means something to you. Even if it just sounds nice.

There are, of course, things that I find distasteful - numbers are a big one, varied spellings (like 'Wispp' rather than 'Wisp') are usually pretty annoying, as are many two-word names (especially cliche combinations like 'DarkLove'), some made-up names just sound bad, and a lot of the real-word names you see around are just desperate and ridiculous.

But again, unless you mean to sell, it's all in personal taste. P:

Well, not necessarily. xD If it's a rare color, then definitely yes. Usually combining a great color and a great name will often lose you part of the profit you could have gotten if you'd sold the two separately.

But if it's a more common color, finding a good name to give it is one of the best things you can do, if you mean to sell. A name someone is bound to love can turn a few-thousand-tu natural into a coveted Creatu that'll sell for millions. For instance, I saw a thread in the advertisements where someone just happened to find that the name Pokemon was open; that otherwise average cream Roditore is now being offered an Omni and a couple dozen Easero eggs, at the least.

In the pet auctions theres a silver female Ebilia named Kiarra (not misspelled, and another way to spell Kiara).  I cant believe how cheap the owner is making the minimum bid for it.

Like what Yoshi said, since the name and color is combined they are losing some profit.  The people are only bidding how much a silver Ebilia is worth, not how much a silver Ebilia + a good name is worth.

Don't read my sig. I said, don't read my sig. You're still reading it, aren't you? .......... STOP READING IT. D:<
