OMG! I didn't know they were making a new Pokemon generation! I'm soooo excited! I can't wait until the movie and the games come out! I'm going to get Pokemon Black because I like Reshiram (the main legendary of the version) better than Zekrom, the main legendary of Pokemon White. Mijumaru is adorable!!! I also like Pokabu. As for the other new Pokemon, I really like Chiramii and Zorua! Yay for the new Pokemon generation! Long live Pokemon!!!

Oh god. Jirachi scares me. o_o So guys, what would be your favourite pokemon generation? Mines the third generation. <3 In my opinion the first was all generic animals. Turtle with swirly tail. omg original liek. Secound was better, but third is where things got interesting. Same with the fourth and fifth, they're going to a stage with a whole new kind of interesting concepts!

It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I had to pick maybe the third generation.. Or the fourth.

Ehh. I think the simplicity of the first generation is why I love it so much. Yes, they were a little unoriginal when you think about it, but many of them were very charming despite this. They made good use of their simple designs. And it seems like after the first generation, quite a few of the newer ones were just the same Pokemon in different skins. Like Tri said in a blog a little while back, you can easily see these sorts of things in the new legendaries - Reshiram very obviously has Palkia's feet, for instance. For some reason I can hardly stand the third generation. It has a few really awesome ones, but so many of the rest are just.. ugh, in my mind.

I can respect that. Everybody has the right to an opinion, no? First Generation always annoyed me, I did grow up with it, but aside from Hypno and possibly Pikachu, I hated it. I didn't like the way Diglett simply tripled as an evolution. Magnemite tripled. Doduo grew a head. Koffing got two deformed siamese triplet brothers. Ponyta grew a horn. Charmander grew a horn. Seel got a different pose. Manchoke grew arms. Grimer got a different pose. Krabby got a bigger claw. Horsea got spikey. Growlithe got bigger. Cubone lost the nostrils. Mankey got arm bands. Pidgeotto grew his hair. Voltorb flipped over. No offense, but you can't get much simpler than those evolutions. The second generation, if you look carefully, tried to cover such mistakes. Look at just about any pokemon and you can piece together pieces of former generic animal designs. Rhydon > Basically Nidoking's body painted silver. With a horn. Houndour > Growlithe minus the fluff + gloomdog. Growlither > omg it stole Nidoran's feet. >:(

Salamence. I used to like Raichu, but now I like Salamence. In the first generation, the anime was awesome. Ash wasn't such a hero and a show-off, he was more like a newbie in Pokemon. Brock and Misty were always teaching him, and in one episode he asked, "Is that Santa Claus?" Just because the man looked like Santa Claus (which made me laugh at that). Also in one of the first episodes he had Pikachu on a leash and Pikachu was like frowning with it's arms crossed. Then when he tried to put it in a pokeball, it refused. He turned on the pokdex and it said, "All Pokemon are stored in Pokeballs." And Pikachu jumped up and pressed another button which said, "But some Pokemon, like Pikachu, hate being in Pokeballs and are exceptions." That one was hilarious, Pikachu was sorta teaching Ash and getting Ash annoyed. So pretty much Ash was a fool who was new to Pokemon in the first generation. Also Pikachu was cute in the first generations with it's round body (now it's a bit ugly). Now Ash is a show-off and almost never loses, and is pretty much invincible. Now I don't watch the anime much because of this. Does anyone notice this too?
Don't read my sig. I said, don't read my sig. You're still reading it, aren't you? .......... STOP READING IT. D:<

... Actually, it's spelt Ninetales. xD /shot Heh, yah. I guess you're right about that. 'Specially Voltorb. xD But somehow I still can't help but love 'em. I s'pose I do have a sort of.. obsession with keeping things simple and neat, so it appeals to me. *shrug* And that's prob'ly why I hate the big, showy evolutions the fourth generation added to a few of those first-generation Pokemon who didn't have evolutions before. x3 They're just way too much for me - especially Rhyperior. It even has a showoff-y name. Heck. Yes, on the anime. It's so predictable now. D: 'S like they've completely forgotten about implementing any difficulty for the gang - it's all just breezing through without a hitch. No struggle at all. I was horribly disappointed with a sort of flashback episode that I read about, where they all ended up in this tent that was all themed around everyone ending up where they first met their Pokemon. Not only were the Spearow's voices absolutely horrible, but it was all way too easy. I'd been hoping they would revisit all that gooey friendship-forming stuff, even for Barry and Dawn despite that I've never followed their stories, but no. For all three of 'em, it was just find your Pokemon, beat the wild ones up, and gtfo. Also kinda reminds me of the episode where Ash got possessed by some ancient evil guy. They could have done SO much more with that, and I would have loved them for it, but they didn't. Just fifteen minutes of talking in a man's voice and making slightly immoral decisions. I almost wish I'd just left my imagination to do the awesome for me after I stumbled on those AMVs about that episode, rather than actually looking it up. Lard, that was a rant. Also. Brock. He used to be SUCH a freakin' perve. xD I honestly couldn't believe it when I decided to start rewatching old-school Pokemanz one day, and I got to the one with the school. 'She can violate MY rights~' Dah, I love all that kind of humor we never got as kids. The second movie was absolutely loaded with it. ... I would love to meet an old person who likes Pokemon. xD But then, that might not be too easy - it only started a little over ten years ago, so a sixty-year-old person would have been fifty already.

well really...Sigh whats the point.i admire the simplicity of the gen1 evolutions for example. BUlbasaur's bulb opens up and bulbasaur gets bigger to be ivysaur.then ivysaur's bud blooms and grows taller, and ivysaur becomesa giant toad.the end. SImple yet drastic. charmander, changes color gets a better pose AND grows a horn to charmeleon. Charmeleon grows huge dragoniske wings achanges color again gets pointy-er teeth and a new pose. Seel grows bigger gets more graceful longer fins more serene tail and grows larger AND gets a new pose,to be a dewgong. XD nice one yoshi.I'm 11 and i've liked pokemon since year 1.why?i dunno. anywhoo the rise of darkrai and tangrowth.EXCEPTIONS! tangrowth is a d/p evolution for tangela but simple evolution. it grows arms and it grows bigger.its feet became arms. thats about all. and in the movie the rise of darkrai ash and dawn:Fell off a tower, fell into a lake, got attacked by a palkia(ash only),and many other things.ANd thats a d/p movie :3

Ah. I kinda think Tangrowth is a little too simple - to the point where it doesn't even seem to have any thought or effort put into it. They pretty much took a Tangela.. and turned it fat. The end. o3o Hurr, yah. I was pretty small too - four, I think. P: We even have a video of my sister and me running around the house after a few episodes.. She was a Zubat, and I was a chubby little kid 'Pidgey-OH-tto. :D' Hurm. I s'pose the movies would prob'ly be a decent exception to the no-struggle thing. Even though I haven't seen any of 'em since.. Oh, prob'ly Destiny Deoxys.

For some reason I liked the third season anime the best. I don't know why.... almost everyone hates and it and says it's soooo awful... but I actually think they did a good job with it. I understand liking the first series the best because it's the original and all. However, I think the third season was just a lot more colorful and interesting. Yes, I said colorful. The fourth season anime actually gets on my nerves a lot, namely Dawn. I hate her. At least May was a much better cooridinator, despite Dawn beating her in the Wallace Cup. That was just because Dawn is the new main female character and they had to have her win once. I liked the Pokemon May had and even though she was annoying as heck at first, she actually became a likable character towards the end in my opinion. As far as the Pokemon go, I don't think I can choose my favorite series. There are Pokemon I love a ton from every series. I really like the movies, especially the last three. Giritina is my fave legendary and Arceus is a close second. I have an Arceus in my Pearl game and it is my main Pokemon and I totally can kick everyone's butt with it. It's so awesome! Now that my rant is done... *ahem*... Kitty- How are you doing on PMD?
