To be honest...gifts.

No no, before you put on that confused face...allow me to explain.
I personally love giving gifts/recieving gifts.  It makes me feel loved when I recieve them, and makes me feel good when I give one away.

Alright, so I gave away a natural kioka to a user I have been friends with for quite a long time for a birthday gift.  The user told me they were trying to get all CS pets.  So, I saved my tu and bought the natural kioka; as promised I gave it to them for a birthday gift.
For a while, they kept it on their profile/showroom under 'never for sale'


BUT wait; the user just talked to me and said they might be quitting... and they were either going to SELL or GIVE AWAY the kioka I gifted to them to ANOTHER respal.
Now, it might seem selfish... but I would have expected the pet to be returned to me...or kept even when the user quit.  I would never dream of selling/giving away a gift to another user, and would return it to the giver if I decided to quit.

I KNOW I could seem very selfish at the moment; and I apologize. And I don't know why... but it just frustrates me that the user would rather give away my gift to someone else.

Personally, I don't think you're being selfish...I mean I would be really hurt if someone did that to me D:

That sucks, you have very right to be upset. I would feel the same way. Its reasons like this that make me a mean person.

I personally believe that the recieving end of the gift should be able to do whatever they want with it.

I mean, really. Leave it on their dead account, where no one will be able to enjoy its beauty? Where there will be one less Kioka on the market - one more rotting in the showroom of someone who no longer needs it?

What's the point of that?

You made your friend happy. Now they want to let your gift spread the love and make one of their friends happy.

And I see absolutely nothing wrong with that.

When I give a gift to someone, they are free to do with it whatever they would like to. They sold the kioka I gave them? Awesome! They used the TU they made to buy something they wanted even more.

If you want to see a pet in the same place forever, keep it. Giving or gifting it will be pointless. That isn't even a gift. That's holding the pet. You're keeping a leash on it because you still want it to technically be yours.

It is rather selfish to expect a gift back or expect someone to keep it forever, even if the person leaves, but that's just my opinion I guess. <33 Don't take it as an insult or anything.
