Each wall of each hallway is similar; sloppy, deep rows carved into stone filled with books and scrolls and all sorts of weary, weathered things that you fret would fall apart under your touch. You could call this place a labyrinth, if you wished; the passages change, and if getting lost every time wasn't enough proof, you can feel it under your feet, a fluctuating rumble as if the maze is alive and breathing and keeping you under constant surveillance ( which it most certainly is ). However, it is far from the malevolent maze of legend, void of traps and dead ends. The exit always seems to appear just as you are starting to feel lost and hopeless. And you never overstay your welcome. After all, this is their home, not yours. -- There is a room within the ruins filled not with books, but where you might instead stumble upon a curious collection of eggs. The unhatched sphinx in this sanctuary have waited a long time for a caretaker, likely much longer than you have been alive.

Renowned for both their intellect and raw power, the cause of this long-lived race's decline can only be speculated, and with as mysterious as they are they are reluctant to share their secrets. It has long been said, though, that those willing to shelter or bring aid to a sphinx will be granted favors, gifts, or answers to the most compelling questions of history. Those who cross them, however, at best risk becoming victim to their mind games- and at worst, becoming a meal. Loners by nature, for a sphinx to bond with another creature is quite rare, and many live their entire adult lives alone in solitude. Fortunate few are capable of establishing deep connections with others, the imprint indeed so sudden and powerful that from the very instant she meets their eyes, a sphinx will understand that she will be with them until death. To have a sphinx's trust is to have her eternal loyalty, regardless of her natural demeanor. There is nothing she would not do for her chosen ones. -- \|\| rules i. The concept of a sphinx is obviously not my own, but I do make all the designs myself and put a lot of thought and care into each one! You may do whatever you wish with the character and change them however you like, however I ask you do not edit my art or claim my art is yours. ii. I take only tu or cp right now, unless otherwise stated (I may occasionally host deals for certain items I need). Sorry if my prices seem weird, I have never been good at pricing my art stuff! I'm sure I'll learn! iii. First come first serve. iv. Buying for other people is fine. So is giving your sphinx away. I request you don't resell them later on, but I can't really stop you. If you do choose to get rid of them, a link back to me here or my DA would be very appreciated, at the least! v. Please show me if you ever draw your sphinx!!

They are a bit hard to come by, but quite easy to notice if you do happen to stumble upon one in the ruins. ancient master scroll \| available: 0 domestic/big cat: 15mil mythical: 20mil Create a custom spinx. You choose the base, cat/bird species, and up to 2 special markings. Mythical option coming soon. HEART CRYSTALS It is said that these meticulously crafted gems hold ancient sphinx magic at their very core. Sphinx do not reproduce the same as other beings, and it is rare enough that one would find a partner she wishes to start a clan with. If she is so fortunate, however, the pair may combine their powers and manipulate a crystal to create new life. Sphinx that belong to two different users may breed. The curious orb is ice cold, frosted over, but pulses in your hand. The scent of saltwater is faint but unmistakable. -- clouded leopard x puffin While others graze the skies, this sphinx pines for the sea. She is capable of submerging to the deeps in icy waters to search for sunken treasure. -- Theatrics aside I hope you enjoy her!! I was sooo tempted to keep this one myself but the last thing I need are new ocs omg,,

Only upon approaching does it glow softly, as it's been waiting for you. -- siamese x house sparrow Common sparrows are plentiful and all around us. This sphinx is only one, but she makes up by trying to be everywhere at once and shows no fear towards the unfamiliar or unknown.

If you approach close enough, you can almost hear the orbs coo. (This is a themed batch- columbidae ) -- The colors of these kittens are soft and easy on the eyes, but perhaps you may find their pelts unexciting, or suspect a little more color would brighten their lives. new item: ink quill 1mil Change 1-2 colors on your existing sphinx. OR Add any 1 custom color and/or color pattern to your sphinx.
