"Welcome To The Owlry!”
The rusted metal sign swung lightly from the shop's entrance in the wind. Filled with a sudden burst of excitement, you thrust open the door to the tiny shop. A bell tinkles brightly as you step inside. Behind counter, a young girl, about thirteen, sits reading a thick novel. She glances up at you with her stormy blue-gray eyes and smiles brightly, adjusting her ponytail of long, ebony black hair. She jolts upright and bounces over to you."Welcome to the Owlry, are you looking for a special feathered friend to take home this fine evening?"You nod enthusiastically."Excellent! Right this way, please," she says, leading you across the room to a door in the back of the shop. She leans down and pulls a necklace with an old bronze key out of her shirt, twisting the key into its hole and pushing open the door. The girl quickly closes the door behind you. They are everywhere.Sitting on perches, squatting on the wooden floorboards, fluttering around you.The moon beams brightly down on you and the owls through a large, round window in the domed roof. They come in all different colors, from white to black to various shades of brown and gray. Some are red, blue, purple, etc. Owls in every colour possible fill the room. It takes you a moment to realize that what you thought was simply a large perch moments ago seemed to be moving. The owls all scattered from it, flying to different corners of the room. Another young girl, this one with brown hair and green eyes, blinks dazedly at her surroundings before directing her gaze at you."A customer?" she grumbles. Slowly, she pulls herself up from the plastic lawn chair she was sitting in. "Name's Thalia. This is Selene," she says, gesturing to the other girl. "Anyways, do you see anything you'd like?" Selene interjects quickly.

Surely, we can find you an owl in any colour you would like. Just ask, and we can find one. Want a red male owl? Of course, right this way good sir/madam! Looking for a silent, calm silver female? Oh, right over here, be careful now, she's snoozing! How about a purple rhinocerous? Nope, sorry, you'll have to go somewhere else for that one.
