Omg I've been like...unproductive today but I'm staying up all night to be productive. xD I've literally spent the last 5 hours trying to figure out a bunch of bull-poo...
I'm trying to find a screen recording program that isn't going to burn my wallet and is able to allow me to edit it outside of the recording. A program called screenflow I've heard is great, but I'd want to speed up the vid ( it'd be my work within photoshop) and also put music in. if I put music or au
dio in screenflow, once I increase the speed, it will increase the au
dio's speed. So I looked into a program called Camtasia, and it's perfect except for one flaw... (GOD I hate Apple...) The mac version is lacking in it's ability to speed up clips. They haven't released a version for mac that has that feature in it yet. Seriously it's got EVERYTHING ELSE but it doesn't have that.
Why must you torment me so, mac?! D':
So anyway,, I've finally decided, after many hours of searching, testing, and looking up other screen capture and movie editing programs, that I'm sticking with Camtasia. It's got a wonderful layout, and a delicious user-friendly style and allows me to fiddle with lots of special effects and such. I'm going to buy it sometime this week once I get my paycheck cashed, and I shall use it. I suppose I can only hope that maybe soon they'll ad an update for it and the mac will finally have the ability to increase the speeds of clips. Or, I'll end up getting fed up and impatient and buy screenflow anyway xD; I'm bad about that...
I've been putting up various test videos. I'll release my youtube to you guys if you are interested, but be aware that there will be the occasional spoiler for these adoptables. I'll try not to upload spoilers before they're posted here on res, but sometimes It might happen. Tonight, if i am able to get around to it though, I'm going to work on my banner more, and post the vid of it.
I warn you though, the videos WILL have music, but they will be long since I can't speed them up. I figured it'd be much more worth it to buy a video editor than can scree capture, rather than just buy the screen capture. Sure, the editor lacks my speeding up process for the moment, but at least the long videos will have au
dio. Rather than having you folks sit for 5-10 minutes staring at a sped up video with NOTHING playing to entertain you.I know I'd rather have sound than speed~
Also, forgive me for any typos or odd wording. my computer is lagging bad right now because I'm running too many things at one time lol~
