Det recently acquired the book DragonArt: Evolution, and has been practicing with it for a while. After a couple pages of sketches, she decided to draw her own dragon, using the tutorials as references.

Here's what came out

As I state in the ti
tle I would like recommendations on pricing. Note that these were pictures taken by my computer, and not scanned. xD

Thanks Caya. I only own one but I plan on hoarding more of them. I want them all, and then more besides that.

Can you suggest any prices I ought to sell this for when I get a scanner?

I'm not sure. x3 I used to do similar commissions. I was paid 300k per piece.
If you start up commissions, I'll order. c:

Really? I'm not doing commissions, but if you'd like I can draw something for you. Keep in mind I won't be scanning them till the weekend. x3

I can still show you them, of course, but the lighting will suck and there won't be any editing until I get to my scanner.

300k then? o3o

I'm so curious as to why I only get comments, not critique or price help. xD

Lol, just kiddin'. Um... it's really a peice of art so... I'd pay 500 k if you edited out the lines of the paper!

If you get your scanner, are you able to edit it using an art program? Making it look more digital? If not, I like traditional art too.

And I don't mind commissioning you now, accept I don't have enough Tu at the moment. xD I'll rmail you when I get enough.

I would use Photoshop Elements 8.0 or my SAI program. It wouldn't be the best, since I'm still getting used to shading and all that. I'm still fail at highlights and lighting and shadows on digital.

Thanks Shep. And I probably could edit the lines out. o.o

Hopefully, never tries. Of course, it would be a simple matter, so.

Being more realistic,

Let's see,

If you drew on paper that have no ledger lines, the price could improve.

My sketches go from 300k-2million.

http://i55.tinypic.com/bijvq1.jpg

This went for 500k.

So, I would price yours at 80k-200k.

Well, that's just my opinion so there might

be other people who would pay more.

Some people overpay when they really

like what you've done, so the price can vary greatly.

No, I understand the whole point of not drawing on lines, but I never meant to sell this. Only as a sort of guideline of what I enjoy drawing.

If I wanted to, I could edit the lines out and make the background white, but I don't see the point of it, not when I'm not going to sell it.

If I was making a commission I would scan the lineart onto my tablet and finish it in Photoshop.

Thanks for your opinion though.
