Human Appearance | To the human eye, Aislinn usually has enough self control to pass off as a human. In her near-human form, she has blonde hair that cascades in light waves down her back. Side bangs frame the right side of her face, sometimes covering her wolfish yellow eyes. She cannot change the color of her eyes no matter how hard she tries, so she goes about telling people that they’re contacts. As for stature, Ash stands at a height of five foot five, made up mostly by her long legs. Her pale pink lips are full and high cheek bones highlight the more exotic side of her; her nose is roman, slightly upturned and pointed, and she has a prominent chin. Another thing she has trouble controlling in her human form is her skin. Though not nearly as bright as her Varlouu appearance, Ash’s skin glows with the soft color of her mood. It is usually only faintly visible in dusk and total darkness.

Varlouu Appearance | Ash’s eyes stay that same wolfish yellow, but around her pupil, they become amber. Her skin becomes vibrant with all sorts of colors if she chooses not to put a rein on them, and can blind a human if she’s not careful. Thin translucent wings unfold from her back. They are not feathered, nor are they bat-like, but they have an insect-like appearance. To humans, most would view them as the wings of the fantasy pixie creature. The wings are divided into two major parts. The top half sprouts two rounded, leaf shape wings just between the shoulder blades, the bottom about a foot shorter than the first. The bottom overlaps the highest and largest part of the wing, stretching about four feet to each side when fully outstretched. For the bottom half of the wings, one set of similar rounded, leaf shaped wings protrude from just under the first set and are smaller in comparison to the top half. The main color of the wings is a hazel flecked gold. The membranes of the wings are gold while the veining is bluish silver. As for the texture of the pixie wings, they feel as soft as velvet and have a silky touch when one rubs their hands down them. They may appear frail, but they’re as thick as leather and not easily pierced. Though they are the main feature of Ash’s body, the wings do not enable her to fly. She can hover a good foot to a foot and a half off of the ground, though cannot access full flight. The color of the body of the wings also varies depending on her emotions, much like her skin tone, but they are covered with a thin, iridescent membrane.

Although Ash’s appearance may seem a bit relaxed and non aggressive, the girl does have defense mechanisms also embedded onto her body. Starting on the outer side of each wrist is a spike. The sharp razor-edged spike stretches in a curve from her wrist all the way back to her elbow. The Varlouu people are trained to fight using these razors to their advantage; mostly, they swing and cut with their arms stiff and stretched out in front of them. Along with the spikes on her wrist, between her wings, she also has a set of four spikes that run down her back. If she feels threatened, the spikes will protrude from her skin and each can get up to six inches long. They curve slightly toward her back.
