The Hirvi
A shy and elusive creature, the Hirvi is best at home in a varied biome. It forages in light forests and meadows, subsisting on tender grasses, herbs and flowers. They are difficult to find and are often coloured to best suit their immediate surroundings. However, when they do appear, typically to feed, the Hirvi travel in large packs of up to twenty adults, with any number of fawns tagging along.
Along with being fleet-footed, Hirvi are equipped with an extraordinary warning system. The tines on their back are covered with thousands of sensitive pores that can detect abnormal shifts in the air around them, warning of a predator's approach before they are in danger. Only a patient hunter can hope to catch a Hirvi unawares.
The only sexual dimorphism between males and females appears to be their horns. Hinds do not pass their first stage of growth, while harts continue to grow throughout their lives. Harts tend to pick up vines and other oddities over time, resulting in pretty drapery over their horns.

How to Adopt
Oddly enough, Hirvi do not have live births. Instead, hinds gather energy and spare fat over a period of five weeks. Near the end she begins to form an opalescent orb in a marsupial pouch on her stomach. She carries this orb for another three weeks after it hatches, revealing a gangly newborn. Unfortunately, as fawns are highly delicate creatures, they are not available for adoption, and instead your fawn will be raised until it is an adult and ready to be released into your care.

As with all animals, Hirvi are born with predetermined markings. Natural patterns can be anything under the sun, though they will always have a camouflage or survival advantage to them. However, a certain rare crystal has the ability to change a fawn's markings soon after birth. However, since these crystals are expensive to procure, a custom Hirvi costs much more than the usual 500 000.

The Rules
1. I lied! No slots. I'll just close it when I feel I have enough orders. :)
2. Customs can be anything, but please post a reference in your post if you are buying a moss crystal. I don't want to have to go chasing after you for information!
3. Breeding may occur later on. I'll update the front page and bump the thread if/when it happens.
4. Be civil. If you don't get a slot, don't threaten, yell at or bother whoever 'snatched' it from you. If I see you harassing other users, I can and will refuse to sell you a Hirvi.
