They each come with backstories and history, along with name.
But only if you would like them to. I understand some people like their characters completely their own.

We've only got two of them right now, but they just might come back with more...eventually.
 
We've got 1 and Subject 2.
Something went a bit...wrong...with Subject 2. Oh well, it seems nice enough...
