"Plain old fire," Clandine muses. "The stereotypical dragon."
She walks straight past you, to a smaller but more comfortable barn.It is made out of what you swear is diamond, or glass, and has a sheet of marble behind the clear substance. It is a different barn, lovingly made. There are others, with clouds of very thick mist. Only five barns hav that mist. Otherwise its' a dark storm front, but no other mist. A yowl, like a cat's, echoes across the grass. Clandine looks very restless, and perplexed as she power-walks.
You follow her, and as you get nearer a precise dragon-green jade is embedded right in the middle of the door. Clandine touches it, and the door is opened not by itself, but by a dragon.
She is as green as the stone in the door, and as tall as your knees. She has a maid's uniform, large round wire-rimmed spectacles and very old eyes, but no signs of age. She looks at you, unemotionally, and turn to Clandine.
" Gul- Clandine." Sh says, not in a stiff way. She sounded like a grandmother. " I've been dusted da corners, polished the Void chambers one to thir-teen, fed the dragons, put them to bed, tha youngs,.."
"Garnet, you dont have to, so why do you even update?"
"I likes it" She is not ashamed.
"Well, you can lead her to the Fire chamber. The Palloi...the wood-boards are messed up." She is miserable. Garnet pats her back, or tries to.
Addressing you, she says kindly " I'm sorry I had to rid you so soon...i have many new species on board." She looks a bit thin.
After she leaves, you and Garnet stand awkwardly. The Dragon barn is very quiet, with no sounds of dragons except for the odd rustle and squeak, and the only light is the one streaming in from outside and a trail of Christmas lights leading like a path to the doors of elements.
" Well," Garnet finally says briskly, dusting off her uniform." We'd a get started, now."
She dips her head towards the Fire door. You walk towards it, feeling unsure, and try to push it open.
As soon as you touch it, the door goes on fire. its more like bloody mist curling off the door, with sun orange and blinding yellow flicker through. You're afraid to touch it again. Garnet sighs, seeing your hesitation. She totters forward like an old lady, pushing her glasses up her nose and pushes open the door. The 'fire' doesn't harm her. She walks in, pulling you behind.
The room, or chamber you are in lights up, and you can see that everything is like a living room in a house, but with everything firey.
The wallpaper is fire-themed, the T.V is on fire, the carpet is white, with diagonal fire patterns all over. There are two loveseats, devil red. Also, the eleven dragons residence are on fire.
They all turn to you, blinking. Instantly in flashes of red they all crowd around, nearly climbing all over you. Before you panic too much, Garnet puts a hand on your shoulder. She has the stand on a loveseat to do so.
" Don't a worry. They wont burn you." She nods slowly. " You got them Fire dragon inside. You one of them.'
You don't know what that means, or if it makes you feel better.
Then all the dragons pull away but one stays. Her wings have heat flowing off them, and her tail is on fire. Like Charmander . She is slightly larger then the others, and has a regal posture. She waits.
"Pick 'er up," urges Garnet. You do. She is just hot enough for you to bear holding her.
"She's Flame...." says Garnet, and adds whispering "obviously"
She reaches for the wall, and it falls down. Looking unimpressed, Garnet bustles you out and pushes it back. She looks to you. Its raining, but it all disappears when it comes near Flame. But thats impossible, she is not that hot.
Garnet looks up at Flame, squinting.
" She loves a you. But does you love her?"
