Stars litter the night sky as you walk down the familiar path towards the Mother Tree. A few of your creatu walk peacefully next to you while a couple of others run ahead to join the floxes that are playing in the fields.
You snicker when a couple of your creatu are tackled by the hyperactive floxes, but otherwise, you continue your journey towards the large tree in the middle.
A bright, fluffy, white flox sitting near the base of the tree assures you that Ink is there, but a smaller white flox sitting next to them is a bit of a surprise.
Walking towards the pair, while skillfully dodging the flox kits that zoom past your feet, you quickly observe the smaller flox.
Although a tiny bit smaller than the Mother Tree guardian themself, the mysterious flox seems to be almost as stark white. However, what sets the two apart is the bright blue and yellow streaks that curl around the other's body giving them a sort of highlighted look.
The blue triangle on their frontal lobe is another difference and as you get closer you realize that the flox actually has a normal tail. At the base of said tail, a cluster of white Ornithogalum (better known as Stars of Bethlehem) grow proudly.
Oh! If it isn’t my dear Friend! How nice of you to join us! We were just talking about you and were wondering when you would appear.
Ink’s voice gliding through your mind brings you out of your deep concentration and you blush upon noticing you have reached the base of the Mother Tree.
Shaking your head to clear away your embarrassment you apologize to the other flox, but then realize that the other may not be able to respond back like Ink.
Oh, don’t worry! I have the ability to communicate just like Ink! Your apology is accepted so no need to fret Rescreatian!

ink at the smooth voice entering your head and then startle as a brief sense of overwhelming joy enters you before quickly settling in your bones. That was weird.
Oopsie! Sorry, sometimes I can’t contain my own excitement when using the mental link. It's been a while since I’ve had to use it. But, oh gosh, where are my manners! My name is Aream, as in air-e-um, nice to meet you.
The sound of childish snickering next to Aream causes you to roll your eyes. After exchanging your hellos you ask why Aream is here at the mother tree.
Wow! Did you already forget? I mean it was a while ago, but come on I thought Rescreatians were supposed to have better memories than us floxes!
Ink butts in before Aream has a chance to speak and you snort when Aream wacks Ink with his tail in spite.

Hehehe sorry, sorry! But come on, it’s a Full Moon! What flox can’t have fun during a full moon?
You squint your eyes in question and the look Ink gives you makes you want to smack the guardian as well.
A small huff comes from Aream and he shoo’s Ink away to deal with some flox kits who had managed to get stuck in the upper parts of the Mother Tree.
Please excuse Ink’s behavior. I know he can be a bit much.
You laugh at Aream’s statement and tell them that they couldn't have said anything truer. After a quick shared laugh Aream continues.
Well you see, the Full Moon allows us floxes to enter a sort of high energy state. The light from the Moon is filled with special powers, and when our bodies are allowed to take in that power, we feel refreshed and energized. I’m sure you noticed that floxes are more commonly active at night.
You nod your head.
We are a species born from the Moon, so it only seems fit that when the moon is full, so are we, if that makes any sense. That being said...
Aream pauses while staring at a couple of kits running past you before continuing.
Floxes are not allowed to breed during a Full Moon. No one knows why but many elderly floxes think it is because of the connection between Mother Trees and the Moon.
You tilt your head in confusion and ask them to clarify.
While I would love to, that information is a bit of a flox secrecy and I’m actually not allowed to give that out to strangers ... A-anyways Ink told me that you have been helping out by getting some birth flowers to hatch! That’s so amazing! I can’t thank you enough!
You feel your eyebrow raise at the quick change of conversation but ignore it in favor of not upsetting your new friend.
That said, your presence is actually why I’m here.
You motion your hand for the other to continue, your interest piqued.
I’m sure Ink mentioned that he knew a flox that went around trading rare things for other rare things. A sort of trader flox I believe is what he called it. Well that... is not actually me ahaha.
Your shoulders slouch.
Ahh b-but don’t worry! I’m actually that floxes apprentice! He sent me here ahead of him so that I could start selling some of his wares as he knew a Full Moon was approaching.
Your eyes widen at the statement and it is just now you notice the huge bulky bag settled neatly against the trunk of the Mother Tree. Aream sighs and then smiles when he realizes he got your attention back.
N-now I don’t have a lot right now and I definitely don’t have everything that my Master will eventually sell. B-but I can assure you everything here is top market and is sure to spice up yours and your floxes life! I’ll be here until the Master shows up so please don’t hesitate to visit me and purchase some of our items!
You tell Aream that you are very excited to see his wares but before you could continue, a wall of fur collides into your face and you screech when your balance is thrown off.

ink rapidly as you feel a soft lump shivering on your chest. The soft fur against your fingers reveals it to be a flox kit and staring up into the leaves of the Mother Tree, you witness the snickering form of one Mother Tree Guardian. In the crevice of your mind, you promise to yourself that you will get the pesky guardian back one day.
What's this? It seems the trader flox, or at least the trader flox’s apprentice, has shown up to offer you some of his wares. Aream has stated that the items he sells are truly one of a kind and are said to change you and your floxes outlook on life. Maybe his shop is worth looking into.
