Sitting underneath the Mother Tree, you stare out into the fields as a gentle rain soaks

everything around you. It seems many of the floxes have followed your lead as well, and have taken shelter in the surrounding trees that border the fields. 

A few kits, having wandered away from their parents, found your company to provide the right amount of warmth, and have surrounded you in a sort of fluffy circle. You giggle as a few of them squeak as their playmates wiggle around to find more comfortable positions.

The sound of rustling leaves suddenly gains your attention, and you glance upward to see Ink slinking around The Mother Tree’s branches. 

You try to call out to them but the guardian seems to ignore you and they continue their trek to a pair of clumped branches. Upon closer inspection of the tangled twigs, a couple of birth flowers gently wave their petals as if calling the guardian over.

The sound of rain envelops your senses as you watch in silent fascination as Ink closes in on the flowers. Then, faster than your mind could comprehend, Ink’s tail slashes through the flower stems. Like usual, with the stems cut the flowers then gently float to the ground and transform into their egg form.

Looking back up into the tree, you watch in amazement as the clumped branches somehow untangle themselves and brush the guardians head, as if in thanks.

A tiny purr like sound then erupts from the guardian's throat and your eyes widen with surprise. Can floxes even make purring sounds?

Your thoughts seem to connect with said flox, and Ink’s ears flick upwards as what looks to be blush appears on their muzzle. Their tail twitches a few times in embarrassment before they suddenly jump down from the tree, spooking all the kits awake from their nap, and disappear into the long grass of the fields.

You snicker at the guardian's behavior, you assume the other had run off to complain to Aream, and return your attention to the various colored eggs that now lay at your feet. It's been a while since you’ve last seen Ink cut some birth flowers from the tree, but you’re glad the flox is finally doing his job again.

Staring at the eggs, it seems like they have divided themselves into two different piles. It looks like the first pile can only be picked up by those who have 2 or less foxes in their care, whereas the other pile can be picked up by anyone. Ink must be trying to get more people to adopt foxes. You huff at the floxes silly rules and decide which egg to add to your family.
