You walk along a dusty road in the mountains. A stream burbles and trickles nearby, and the mountains tower majestically over you. You are washed over by a sense of peace, and well being. Smiling as you see a small village ahead, you pick up your pace a bit. A teenage boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and three spike piercings in one ear kneels on the ground, talking softly to a ball of fur and feathers. Coaxing it, the ball open ups into a fluffy, bright eyed gryphon. Noticing you, the boy stand up and offer you his hand. "Hello, I'm Jake, and this little furball is Moxie, one of the resident Gryphons here at the Gryphon Adopt Shop.

She lives here, but there are others you can adopt, by hatching a gryphon egg." Moxie purrs and rubs against your legs, and you pick her up. She's about the size of a very large cat, and your stroke her soft fur and feathers.

Jake leads you first to a clutch of black eggs, about the size of a football. He tells you to lean down and touch one, and you do so, amazed at the scaly seeming surface.

Jake leads next you to a small hut, crammed full of herbs and stones. "Each herb gives an egg a different element. Each stone gives it a different personality," he explains. "No stone is ever the same, so their personalities a have a very wide range."

A tiny glowing aqua stone- Your gryphon will be solitary, and dislikes the company of most other gryphons, except for a few others. Curiously, though, they seem to love being around humans, and are quick to bond and make friends with them.

A small pink stone with white veins- Your gryphon will be agile and elegant, always performing and showing off, and very competitive. Though it can be arrogant at times, it has a good sense of humor and will quickly bond if you tell it jokes.

A simple jagged piece of granite, about the size of your fist- Your Gryphon will be rough and aggressive, bold and defensive. It will be confidant, adventurous, and fearless, always outgoing and tough. It loves warmth and other gryphons, though sometimes it will be too aggressive with them.

Here you are!

You pick out your herbs and stone, and Jake leads you over to a clutch of solid black eggs. You pick out one, and he rubs the Aquadrop and Mythleaf all over the egg. Setting it down in a stone bowl of water, he hammers the rock into the top of the egg. The egg does not crack, as you had expected, but seems to open to let the stone in. A few seconds after the stone is absorbed, the egg rocks, creating waves in the bowl of water. Soon later, a fluffy head appears, followed by a wing, two front paws, and finally a fully emerged baby gryphon. You stretch out a hand towards it, and it sniffs you, then hesitantly licks your hand with its raspy tongue. It's eyes open wide as it does so, and the peurple bits of fur start to glow with a lavender light. You look startled, but Jake laughs, "That's its magic." You nod, and embrace the little gryphon who leaps into your arms. Do you keep her?

A silvery white stone with black veins, about the size of your fist, with cubic crystals-
 Your gryphon will be very hesitant to trust you, but will bond very
closely. It is cautious and some consider cowardly, but will stand up
against their greatest fear to protect the ones that it loves, giving it
 much loyalty and love. It will be quiet around those it does not know
and trust, but very talkative to those who it does.

You hold your first gryphon close, following Jake as he completes the tasks a second time with a different egg. The egg swirled different colors, first flashes of white, them spurts of rainbow following in it's wake. You gasp at the colors, and set a hand on the egg as it cracks. Lighting flashes as a baby gryphon emerges. You reach out a hand to hold him, but he shrinks back, growling and nipping at your fingers. Jake looks worried at first, but as the little cub hasn't done any harm, he relaxes. "Just give him some time. I'm sure he'll warm up soon." An hour passes by, and the cub still growls at your hand, though the nipping has stopped. Finally, he lets your finger come close enough to stroke the fur on his head. His tail twitches nervously, but seeing as you don't harm him, he leans into your hand and you pet him over his whole body. His tufted little tail coils around your pinky, and you smile.

Here she is, Fluzzy: I'm actually really proud of this little butt, I like her design a lot.

You pick an egg from the nest, and Jake smiles and nods at you. He takes the egg from your hands and cups it in his own, setting it on a table and getting the herbs and stone you requested. He brings the egg over to a thin column of steam rising out of the ground and looks at you. "We don't often get three elemnts in one," he sas, "But I think I might have an idea for these three." With that he takes the egg and sets it on the column. the mist pushes the light egg up slightly, letting it bob and float gently about 3 or 4 feet off the ground. Jake takes the herbs and sprinkles them over the floating egg, then rubs them into the shell lightly. He takes the egg and pulls it down the column of steam, drops of water condensing on the egg and his hands, and touches the earth lightly. The ground rumbles, and he tarts, then gives you a reassuring smile. Holding the egg against the ground, his muscles straining to keep it touching the ground, Jake finally gives up, releasing the egg and letting it skyrocket up into the sky. It slowly drifts down, and small vines encircle it where it lands, pressing in the stone that Jake hands the egg. You peer at the egg, curious, as colors, mostly blues, swirl across the black egg's surface. Finally, after a flash of sky blue, the egg breaks in half, exposing a furry gryphon cub. She bounds over to you and rubs against you, then bounds out into the center of the village, small sprouts growing where her tiny paws touch the ground. Running into the stone hut, she knocks something over, then comes as you call her. She looks sorry for the mess, but that doesn't stop her from leaping into your arms.
