"Hmm.. Can I try ?"
You walk up to the portal and pass the requirements to enter. Hesitating for a while, you throw your jacket on for protection and close your eyes as you step into the portal.
You sniff the air and it smells....SWEET?! Hurriedly, you open your eyes.
What on earth? The entire place was the very definition of candyland. Cotton candy trees of every colour stretched out onto the horizon. The rivers flowed with chocolate milkshake and the mountains were made out of ice cream and gummies. You thanked your lucky stars for wearing the jacket as it was extremely cold. After all, that was how everything still remained intact in this place.
You spend the next few hours wandering about the area. Hard candy glaciers, chocolate fountains and marshmellow grass... they all seemed so surreal ! You keep walking until you finally reach what seems to look like ribbons of laffy taffy. Situated right in the middle of it all was a lone candyfloss tree.
But there was something so different about this candyfloss tree compared to the previous ones. Its candyfloss bundle of leaves seem to rustle and sparkle more and the tree itself was HUGE !
You walk up to it, grab a fist full of candyfloss and stuff it into your mouth. It tasted so good and you were so hungry after all that walking.
All of a sudden, you heard a terrible cry of a monster. Its loud stomp shook the earth. You look up in horror and discover a looming, horrifying creature made of candy that was so huge that it touched the sky. The monster looks down directly at you... and aggressively reaches out for you !
You realize a little too late that you're not supposed to touch anything in there. But what is done, is done and it couldn't hurt to grab some more while you're at it ! So you close your eyes and grab as much as you can off the candyfloss tree and begin running back towards the portal. Something felt weird about the candyfloss that you had grabbed.. it felt warm and..heavy??
You hear the sickening stomps behind you and quicken your pace. You don't turn back to look and just keep at it until you see the portal right ahead ! Gasping for air due to fatigue you force yourself to take those last few steps out of the portal .
The portal whirrs and shuts down just as the monster's claws reach out of it to get you. YOU ARE SAFE !
But wait...you hear a little cry. It sounded like the cry of a small baby. You finally look down to see what you've grabbed.
Oh my goodness ! In all the hurry and rush, you accidentally grabbed what looks like a baby candyfloss, native to the candyfloss tree ! It looks up at you with tears. You realize that you can no longer take it back to its home and that it has nowhere to go.
"Don't worry. I'll take good care of you" you say as you cuddle it and wipe away its tears. It seems to be happy as it licks you and clings back onto you ! The two of you head back home.
