Constructive critisism((sp?)) is aloud but please no cussing or flaming.

I'm not going to argue with you about my talents or how "amature or suckish" my drawings are.

:) thank you.

((1 being least 10 being greatest. I doubt I will receive 10's except from overly generous people.))

Hmm.. What art program did you use? The lines on your pics seem to be snapping to some kind of invisible grid and I'm just wondering if you put on some setting on that art program that makes it do that. It lowers the quality of your art much below the kind of mark I would give your traditional drawings

It's also hard to give a sort of 'rating' to your art since you didn't specify what we would be rating; like originality, style or quality.

Scratch that, It's hard to rate art in general >_<

I would give you a 5 out of 10. You're art is pretty much avarage, it's not excellent but it's not bad, it's in the middle meanign good. You could improve by perhapse having referance pictures of chibis and try drawring from that. For using Gimp (which I can't use) I'd say you're colouring is good. For colouring I give you a 7 out of 10. I only give you that much since I have seen so much better digital colouring. OKay compared to me for drawring it is a 6 for digital colouring compared to me it's a 10 x3 Because I am a complete phailbukkit with digital colouring :D

I'd give you about a 5. Now I don't know anything about GIMP but I'll give you some general digital art tips.

1. Do all coloring and shading on a la
yer under the line art la
yer

2. Draw twice the size of what you want the picture to be than when you are finished halve the size. This will make lines smoother.

3. Taper(I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly but it means to make your lines pointed and give different thicknesses using the eraser) the end of your lines. This helps give a cleaner look.

4. If you ever become really serious (and I mean really serious because this gets expensive) about digital art buy a WACOM tablet. It is one of the most useful tools I have ever bought.

Very sorry, but I'd give you a 2.

The shape of their faces are irregular and therefore don't look right. It seems a bit simple as well. But I (sorta, I was slightly better) began like that when I started with digital art. Do you use a roller (or 'mechanical' mouse)? 'Cause they are the 2nd worst mice (tracker ball being the worst) you can ever use for digital art. Use a laser mouse and practice frequently.

Ways to improve:

1) Shapes! Anatomy! All that stuff. These things are high priority (in my opinio) when it comes to art.

2) Draw frequently! This is how you improve. Get a notepad and doodle at random times when you're at school or something.

3) Experiment! This is how you discover new ways of doing things and therefore improve.

4) Layers! I see you have not used any in those picture. GIMP does have a la
yer feature, so use it!

5) Only if you get SUPER serious (like Zebez said), buy a tablet. Get a HanWang tablet (I have one) instead of a Wacom one, it's cheaper, but only available in China. However, I only got mine after THREE YEARS of experience. So don't buy one unless you think you're AWESOME at it.

I (HATE)' YOU

Feel the love man D:<

I like your art, Shadow! A little tip: Sometimes to go forward, you have to go back a step. Here's how I learned to draw chibi: It helped a lot!
