holidays321 - Lol it did? And now I'm wondering if I should have just made another croc for the seeds. People seem to really love Mangodile, but I figured I'd look cheap if I didnt create completely new species for the specialty auction adoptions lol.

AstridMelody- it did :), I remember this huge mango tree that had the sweetest mango's ever. c: hng lol I figured then that I wanted one of them.

Holidays - Mangoes are my favorite fruit, but I am fond of the orange and loquat as for as childhood memories go. We had an orange and loquat tree where we lived. Some of the sweetest, too. Loquats always tasted the best if you froze them first. It was like eating sherbert.

Rika reaches out to gently take the book, smiling thankfully at Mangodile before she looked up at Kio. she lifted her hand to gently rub beneath his chin before she wandered a little ways away, exhaling slowly before she settled down, set the book aside a moment, and moved to pull her Barebat into her lap, hugging him and nuzzling him a bit. Then she moved to take book and prop it open, her eyes scanning the pages before she began to examine everything, using her finger once again to keep her place in the book, glancing down at her beloved Kio every now and again to try to be sure that nothing else bad happened to the poor thing.

Kio stares at the book as his owner studies through it, flipping pages and touching on the cover. Kio's runes glow as you fumble through the sheets...the runes seem to light up and pulse with light. The book itself starts to glow and pulse with a dark hue and vibrates in your hands. It shakes violently and suddenly one of its pagesbegins to rip. Your book remains intact, but it looks like something is possessing it and ripping pages out. Will you attempt to collect it? |

Rika let out a soft, startled sound when the book appeared to become possessed, reaching out to try to prevent the pages from ripping. Then she looked down at Kio in surprise, then back at the book. This was certainly...interesting.

You can only pick one book, but you can randomize a book for 25k -pokes the first post- You can only own one book at a time, I'm assuming, but if it breaks it can be replaced...with a random book that Astrid chooses.

Ugh that's annoying. I just wrote out a full post and it didn't go through.
Cloaked- you can own only one book at a time from each specific portal. We're about to move to another portal, so once books become available in THAT one, you can buy one book from its pile, while still owning the book you own from this portal.
If your book breaks, you can buy another. However, it will be randomized, since it is implied that they are running low on stock.
If a book you have from another portal breaks while you are NOT in that portal anymore, you can no longer replace it with the collection of books that were available in that portal.

From what she could tell, at least one of these meant a completeness, a wholeness...and the other... well... it seemed like portal. A entrance out of here or an entrance to somewhere else? Green hazel eyes closed as she thought about the book and specifically the symbol of the portal. With the little Orisis curled up next to her side now, she began to concentrate on what the rune might mean. What could it possibly mean? The girl hadn't been able to read any more of the book... maybe it would come to her later. Portal, what did it mean? What could it possibly mean? She meditated on that thought.

Okay :3 I can use mai book again?
Cloaked pulled his almost forgotten book out of his bag, studying it again. Now seemed like a pretty good time to try something else out. He decided to give it to his Barebat, so it could try. Handing the book over to his Barebat, he watched a bit warily in case Festus was hungry or something.

The book shakes violently and vibrates in your grip. As you tear the page from the book, it seems to bellow a horrific other-worldly growl. As it looses its grip on the rune covered paper, the light dims, as does Kio's runes on his face. A thick blackish smoke emits from within the center of the book, then disperses. He tilts his head, but seems to know exactly what he wants to do with it. He lays it down and plops onto his rear, flapping his fiery wings a bit to better his balance. He chitters and gnaws on the book for a moment, his drool like magma. Just as you fear the book would be destroyed, a spark emits from the glistening cover, between Festus's teeth. Your BareBat is thrown back against a tree, the book flies across the field in the opposite direction. Upon closer inspection, it appears two strange things have dropped from the book because of Festus' interactions.Your book has received substantial damage and is now rather close to breaking. (lvl 1) A fleck of gold lies in a charred part of the earth where Festus was sitting. Festus also appears to have something black yet glowing with bright light wedged in his fangs. Will you attempt to loot both of these objects, or only one ( and which one )?

Shao - You cannot use the book again, for you have already used it once for the day. Also, there is no bed or window in this Portal. All visitors are in the wilderness. When you write your replies, try to remember to make sure you stay within the environment. x3
