Background?: Hrmn...I'd like him to be outlined in a thick white line, so that you can do a black-and-red background. If you don't like the red, take it out and just do solid black. I'm leaving this in your hands, really. Doesn't matter as long as you can do the content of the picture. ;3
Anything else: Because I'm not very good at commissioning artists, this is where I'll put the poses I think would look good and such. First off, know that Shika (ahm, this is the anthro of my Black Kioka/my fursona) is very lazy, intelligent, and uncaring. His facial expressions and body language need to reflect indifference, boredom, slight irritation, and laziness - so for poses, you could do these:
[1] Sitting cross-legged with his tail ribbon curled around his legs; he could be reading a book or eating a bowl of ramen. Make it like he's been caught off-guard, and has just noticed someone walk in on him (just his eyes should be focusing straight at the viewer).
[2] Laying on his stomach with his ribbons floating in an imaginary breeze, blowing them up and back.

Anything else: Neji Hyuuga is very solemn, cold, and powerful. His poses, facial expressions, and body language should reflect lithe grace, as well as the three things from above. Oh, hehe, you can draw him with or without that coat he's wearing in the fanart - I don't care which. xD Lol, with the coat may be easier/more original. Pose ideas:[1] A dynamic battle pose; Neji should have his weight distributed on bent knees, with his hands palm-up to his "foe". One arm should be curled either against his chest or beside his face, and his other should be extended in front of him...his eyes need to be locked on his foe, which can be the viewer (straight ahead) or a profile (side) view of him.
[2] When he is not fighting, Neji is meditating - draw him sitting either on his knees or cross-legged, eyes halfway open, a peaceful look on his face (not happy - just peaceful). In this pose, you could draw him unraveling the bandages that are around his right arm (or leg if you draw him cross-legged). That would look cool.
PAYMENT: For the two of these, I'd be happy to offer a well-named Silver Uilus (you said you like those?). Would that be okay? I really hope you can read this; for some reason, the page is stretched (is that my fault?).
