It rarely snows near the flygers' habitat, but when it does Snowflake is the first to dive into the fluffy piles and play. There are few things he loves as much as snow and ice, and it's happy coincidence that his markings resemble snowflakes. His favourite things about snow are that every flake is unique and beautiful, and the way is sparkles at night when the moon shines down.

When they aren't hunting and patroling their territory, flygers are very playful. One activity they particularly enjoy is referred to as "sky-dancing". It was previously believed that these intricate dances were exclusively mating rituals, but since establishing contact with Lapis and his colony it has been revealed that this is not the case. In sky-dancing, two or more flygers will flutter around each other in synchronized patterns, bouncing through clouds and at times landing to continue the dance on the ground. While this activity is in fact done between mates it is also practiced among friends and family as well, and is an experience that brings members of a colony closer together. Poinsettia loves sky-dancing, and hopes to share its unique beauty with humans upon her adoption.

Contrary to what is known for many animals, chocolate is not poisonous to flygers. This was discovered when this particularly sneaky flyger stole a chocolate bar from a researcher and did not show signs of sickness after eating it. It was known that flygers enjoy sweeter foods like fruits already, but no one suspected that they would be able to safely consume chocolate given how poisonous it is to other mammals. Coco was the first to discover how tasty chocolate is, and hopes that whoever adopts them will allow them to have some from time to time.

Sprinkle's colourful spots are an interesting variation from the typical striped patterning that flygers have. They look like someone has shaken a cup of rainbow sprinkles all over them, which is likely how they got their name. Coincidentally, Sprinkle has developed a fascination with cooking and baking since arriving at the research centre, and hopes to be chosen by someone who can teach them more about it.
